Located just North of Conroe, Camp Misty Meadows offers cabin and dorm camping experiences. This camp is an equitation (horse) facility with a barn complex, riding arenas, and a herd of 42 horses. The camp offers archery, swimming, a fully equipped lodge (seating 250,) and craft/meeting rooms. This camp is "connected in a series of camps called the "Treelake Complex." There are hiking trails that allow you to one from Camp Misty Meadows to Camp Arnold, then along to Camp Silver Springs (and/or vice versa.) |

SouthEast Texas Girl Scouts Camping |
Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council, to which we belong, offers many opportunities for girls to enjoy camping. The Council has eight properties available for camping activities. Each camp has an unique outdorr setting and has been developed witha particular type of camping and set of activities in mind. There are many ways to experience Girl Scout camping: Troop/Group camping, Resident camp, Summer Carousel, local Day and/or Twilight Camps. "Carousels" are troop camping experiences at Girl Scout camps featuring activities planned and conducted by Girl Scout volunteers. Activities at camp "Carousels" include canoeing, swimming, paddle boating, hiking, archery, crafts, games, new friendships, and the totla camping experience, including cooking outdoors, campfires, etc. Resident camping is a Council-sponsered, professionally staffed program offered during the summer months. There are one-week and two-week sessions to choose from. Day/twilight Camps occur during the summer months. Girls participate in a variety of activities during either the day (or evening for Twilight Camps - from 6pm to 9pm.) Day/Twilight camps are staffed by Girl Scout volunteers which keeps costs down. They are usually conducted at parks, churches, community buildings, and Girl Scout facilities throughout the Council. |

Located just North of Conroe, Camp Silver Springs is the third in the "Treelake Complex." This camp offers a challenging ROPES course (obstacle course) and a refreshing, barrier-free pool. |
Camp Agnes Arnold offers cabin, tree house, and platform tent camping experiences along with a new "Fishing Village" camping experience. Camp Arnold has a lodge by the lake that seats 300 for meals. Nearby are three craft/meeting rooms, a library, and an infirmary. All are heated and air conditioned. It is located just north of Conroe in the "Treelake Complex." Shadow Lake is 35 acres of prime fishing. |

Camp Robinwood is located just outside Willis, Texas. It primarily offers platform tent camping; however, there is a cabin unit and a dormitory as well. Available activities include canoeing, fishing, paddle boating, hiking, star gazing, kiting, archery, swimming, and outdoor cooking. The outdoor pool has a capacity of 70 swimmers and overlooks Lake Ann. |

Camp Whispering Pines is nestled in the East Texas Pineywoods between Garrison and Nacogdoches. This camp is a favorite because of its rolling terrain. A small lake provides fishing and canoeing, and the surrounding hills challenge hikers. A day of swimming in the pool and outdoor cooking guarantees campers pleasent dreams in the cabins on the property. |
Camp Case Mare, located on Galveston Bay, is the center of the Council's sailing program. A fleet of Sunfish sailboats, Lasers, and sloops provide a challenging experience for those who wish to gain expertise for those who wish to gain expertise or just enjoy recreational sailing. This property provides a fully equipped galley/lodge that seats up to 225 for meals served out a commerical kitchen facility. Smaller rooms are available for craft/ meeting/ activity centers. Also availalbe are: beach volleyball court, 200,000 gallon pool for SCUBA instruction, swimming pool, snorkeling, and an athletic field. Sleeping accomodations include cabins and dorms. |
Camp Aranna is located in Baytown, Texas. It is a six acre site with a troop cabin for 32, a fire circle, and hiking trails. It is used for overnight camping and meetings. |
Camp Camwood is located between Hockley and Tomball. It is most suitable for day time activities. A large 100' by 160' pavillion makes activities possible even in inclement weather, plus there are an additional six picnic shelters each with a picnic table. A five-acre lake offers great fishing. |

Camp Wind-A-Mere is a wooded, semi-primative camp environment located in Alvin, Texas. Wind-A-Mere is a camp with many opportunities available to campers, including Lindsay Lodge (a multi-purpose building for many activities,) the Tejas unit with two teepees, the Caddo unit with platform tents, primitive campgrounds (Pine Meadows & The Chicasaw site,) and several other outdoor meeting areas. Campers participate in traditional camp activities, such as making crafts, going on hikes, cooking outdoors, playing games, and making new friends. This camp has an indoor dining/activity/training room. |
