So i find out i CANT take in my disposable camera so i say oh.....ok, ill throw it out. i then walk by 5 trashcans and around the corner where i try to stuff it into my bra, but my shirt is too tight so i end up having to throw it out. Which sucked cuz while walking to the tweeter i got a picture of a homeless guy.
we had pit tickets, but the pit had chairs, we were about 7 rows back on the right. great seats though, i was pissed id idnt bring my camera. we check out our seats, walk around and such. Y100 had a booth and i asked Ben Harvey (WHO IS SO FUCKING ADORABLE IN REAL LIFE) for free stuff and we got free shitty crap, but oh well hes cute. While near the Y100 booth i meet the kid who played foosball with weezer and we talked, he said pat was cool as was scott and rivers was nice.
more walking around. at the AT&T booth we win 4 tickets to Area 2 thing and we try to scalp them with no avail. However a cute guy did come up and show us his strategically placed beer (ahem, yes ladies, there) and asked if we wanted it. we declined and tried to sell him our tickets, which didnt work.
we caught some of the first band, i forget the name, they were allright. heard about 1 min of DC. so at 9 we head to our seats and at 9 30 the weez comes on. you can get the setlist at the boards or tomorrow, yes there was good life and el scorcho. rivers held his hands in the air alot in fists. he also once said he likes when the girls dance. pyro was amazing as were the lights. OH. after the last encore, OID, we start to empty out, but i need to ask the Y100 foosball kid where backstage is so i head back to our row and about 5 seats down i spot a set list on the ground. sadly a girl bends down to pick it up but sees me looking at it and i go, "oh! myset list!" lol so she hands it to me! hahahha EVILNESS. (keep that on the dl please)
while waiting to go backstage one of the guys that works there goes, "are these the weezies?" (hahahaha)
so i leave my friend head backstage. scott is first to arrive and he was sooooo nice. he talked and signed my set list and my friends stub (he asked her name and wrote it on the stub which was nice). he even posed for a picture. cuz i threw my camera out another kid snuck in a digital and said hed send me the pictures he took of me and members. so we both got one with scott but at first the flash wouldnt go off and the kid went to look at it so it was me and scott and he kept his arm around me so after like...15 seconds i just look over and i go, whats up scott? and he goes, nothing much, how are you? i said i was fine. picture taken. pat came in and out 3 times quickly and never came back so his name is missing from the set list. Brian came right near us but was talkign to 2 girls and a guy and i waited for the girls to leave, but when they did i was with scott and another girl went to him (ill call her blondie youll find out why later) so brian had seen me looking at him like 3 times so eventually i just went over and was like, sorry but would you mind signign 2 things? he said he wouldnt and signed the set list and stub. while he was doing that i said , "rivers was right you do look good i n a vest" Rivers mentinoed during the show that brian was not only wearing a tie but a vest that he looked good in. he laughed at that.
now we spent over a good hour waiting for rivers adn pat. While waiting iw as really thirsty and i notice water near us so i ask this kid next to me if i should drink it and he goes, well i was thinking that too, i think that was brians water. so i drank from it which means TECHNICALLY i kissed brian. haha.
karl finally came and was so nice, he signed my set list and seemed flattered i asked. he drew a picture too. karl pulled up a chair and chatted iwth us. then about 15 min later rivers came and we asked himto have him come over so he goes talks to him and says we shoudl go over where he is. so im first in line and well.....i get to rivers hes sitting in a chiar and i kinda stare at him then karl and karl goes, well.....there he is. so i say hi, he says hi, and i realize hes not gonna shake my hand unless i start to so i make a move to shake his hand and he shakes back. others follow. after the last one i ask if hell sign my stuff he says yes. karl then takes a group picture which we decide looks like a family picture or a school picture cuz somehow the heights were all lined up perfeclty. rivers.....seemed like he didnt walk to tlak with us so it was very awkward. Blondie came over and he got excited and hugged her. she must know the band. at one point one of the .commers bent down and asked him for a picture but he said no.
at one point someone asked where cchris carrabba was cuz they needed his signature, and while i dont like this band this was sweet. the girls friend was in the hospital and she loves chris so when he came he signed a hting for the girl and talked to her after the girl dialed up her hospital number. he talked to her for a good 15 minutes. i thought that was nice.
after the rivers picture it was obvious he didnt realy want ot talk to us so we stood behidn him and chatted with karl and then we left 1 by one.
it was funny, i wsnt nervous at all, and i was much braver than i thought i would be. my printer isnt scanning, but ill get the setlist scanned as soon as it is working.
tomorrow my friend and i head off to y100 to get Pats signature, wish us luck.
