Chrono Trigger
System:  Originally released on Super Nintendo, and later remade for Playstation with better cutscenes.
Story:  In the year 1000 A.D. a young boy, Crono, awakes one day and heads off to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of when his homeland defeated some evil wizards at the Millenial Fair.  There he bumps into a young girl named Marle... literally, causing Marle to drop a pendant of hers.  Crono brings it back to her and, she asks if she can spend the day with him as they explore the fair.  There, Crono and Marle go to see Crono's friend Lucca present her new invention, a machine that can transport a person from one point to another.  Crono volunteers to test the machine, and it goes rather smoothly.  Marle decides it looks like fun and volunteers, as well.  When they activate the machine for Marle, the machine has a strange reaction to her pendant, and she is sucked into a very strange portal, yet the pendant is left behind.  Crono quickly scoops up the pendant and has Lucca send him into the portal after Marle.  Crono suddenly finds himself 400 years in the past.  As Crono searches for Marle, a long and complicated plot unfolds.  I don't wanna give much away about this exciting game, so I'll leave it at that.
Comments:  This game is awesome beyond belief.  As I already mention, the plot is very long and has several twists in it.  The battle system is awesome!  And the bosses in that game are no cake walk...  If it's a good, long challenge you're looking for, this is the game.  The music is incredible, the sound is all right, and the graphics are pretty good.  But the gameplay and storyline are what will really have you hooked.  I love the characters, too.  I'm not sure what the Playstation version is like, because I've only played the SNES one, but it's bound to be just as awesome!  I can't believe how great this game is!
