Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town
System:  Gameboy Advance.
Story:  As a young boy, Jack's parents took him on a family vacation to Mineral Town.  While exploring the beautiful town, Jack got lost and ended up on a farm.  An old man found the lost, crying boy, and helped him find his parents.  Jack and the old man became fast friends, and the old man let him play on the farm.  As Jack left to return home, the old man gave Jack his address and they wrote to each other for many, many years.  But one the old man stopped writting, Jack returned to Mineral Town to see if everything was OK, but was sad to find that the old man had passed away.  However, he also discovered that the old man had left the farm to Jack in his will.  Jack agreed to take the farm and began working the very next day.
Comments:  This game is all the fun of Harvest Moon 64, except now it's portable.  But just because they're similar in many ways doesn't mean this is a remake of 64's version.  On the contrary, there are many differences between the two.  The characters look the same and have the same names, but they have been rearranged into different families(Basil's Mary's father?!?!) with different family trades, and quite a few have different personalities.  The festivals aren't as fun as they were in Harvest Moon 64.  The music's pretty good, but it can get annoying if you stay in one place for too long.  The graphics are rich with color.  And of course, the gameplay is fantastic!  Although nominated, Friends of Mineral Town did not get any awards in the 2003 Nintendo Power Awards.  This is a awesome game.  Just try it.
