Story: While traveling across the sky to deliver a pair of twins to their new home, a stork is suddenly ambushed by an evil Magikoopa, Kamek, who intercepts one of the twins. The other twin falls down to the earth. As Magikoopa, who had a prophecy the night before that a pair of twins born that morning would bring ruin to the Koopa family, returns to his castle in Koopa Kingdom, he realizes that he didn't get one of the twins, and orders his toadies to go to retrieve him. Meanwhile, the second baby, Mario, lands safely on Yoshi's back, in the beautiful paradise of Yoshi's Island. Although they usually live and peace and are laid back, Mario's arrival has the Yoshis in a panic. But as the Yoshis debate as to what they are to do, they see that Mario continuously points in one direction, to which the Yoshis conclude that if they journey in that direction they'll find where the baby needs to be. The Yoshis, using a relay system, set off to take Mario to his destination, starting with the green Yoshi. |

Comments: This is a great game... and Yoshi's awesome. This was Baby Mario's debute, whom many of you may be familiar with from some of the Mario multi-player games. Seeing how most of the Mario games have similar plots, the story added some spice to it. And take away the plot, you've still got a great game. The gameplay is terrific, with an innovative "battle system," awesome enemies, and multiple beautiful levels. The catchy music adds a lot to this game. And Baby Bowser's really cool too. This is such an awesome game, and you shouldn't pass up an opportunity to play it. |
