Online Petition Page for a Doctor Sam Loomis
McFarlane Ultra Action Figure

Hello and welcome to the Doctor Loomis action figure petition page. This is a petition designed for one single, sole purpose, and that is to get McFalrlane Toys to produce an action figure of Doctor Sam Loomis, the
trench coated adversary of Michael Myers, played to perfection by the late, great Donald Pleasence
in the Halloween series of films.

Dr Loomis faced off against Michael Myers in five of the six Halloween films that featured Myers, and provided an adversary that was almost as obsessed with capturing (or killing) Michael Myers as Myers was with unleashing chaos and destruction as he tried to wipe out his every surviving family member. Given Loomis' unstoppable obsession, which rivalled Michael's own, it is not hard to guess just why the character has become entrenched as one of the all time great horror heroes,
and perhaps even the greatest of them all. Dr Loomis was the archetypal crusader, determined to stop Michael Myers at all costs, and he, every bit as much as Michael himself, is responsible for making the Halloween movies as successful as they were, with his sheer presence even making the lesser films in the series much better than they otherwise would have been.

McFarlane Toys has previously created a very cool action figure of Michael Myers as a part of their Movie Maniacs 2 collection, however sitting up there on the shelf Michael Myers will never be quite complete until he has Dr Loomis faced off against him, and for that we need your help. Please sign the petition
via the link below to help convince McFarlane Toys that there is indeed a market for a Dr Sam Loomis action figure, and that they are the only company that can do justice to the late, great Donald Pleasence by immortalizing him in plastic for his fans and Halloween
and horror toy collectors worldwide.

Still not quite sure? Can't quite picture a Dr Loomis action figure? How about this for starters. Dr Loomis could come sculpted in his trademark
trench coat, and could have two interchangable heads (just like McFarlane's superb Sleepy Hollow Headless Horseman figure). One head would be his regular Halloween 1 & 2 face, the second head could be his older, greying, burnt and scarred face from the latter Halloween movies, thus pleasing all fans and allowing everyone to get the Dr Loomis that they would prefer to have standing proud on their shelves. Accessories could include his revolver pistol from the first two films, as well as his nickel plated automatic from Halloween 4, his walking cane from Halloween 4 and the lighter from Halloween 2. Starting to sound pretty cool after all huh?
Now just picture this bad boy sitting proudly on your shelf facing off
against Michael Myers and you're there.

The rumour mill has it that next year Mcfarlane Toys will be producing a line of Movie Heroes/Anti-Heroes as a companion line to the Movie Maniacs series, so if indeed that is the case then lets make sure that Dr Loomis is amongst the first
releases in the new line. Even if that rumour wasn't the case he could always be released in a two pack with a repainted Michael Myers (with a starker white mask replacing the bluey grey mask of the original release), or even as a part of Movie Maniacs series 4, after all he's every bit the maniac that this years Movie Maniac series 3 characters Snake Plissken, Shaft and Edward Scissorhands are. Either way Dr Loomis deserves to be made, the fans demand it, and this is our chance to be heard.

Please hit the links at the bottom of the page and visit Doug Freeman's petition page where you can join the crusade for a McFarlane Dr Sam Loomis Ultra Action Figure and cast your vote to immortalize the late, great Donald Pleasence in plastic the way that only McFarlane Toys can (and should) do. And while any and all support is appreciated if you really want to make an impression and get taken seriously by the powers that be at McFarlane Toys remember that real names are preferable and are always going to have a much greater impact than a simple (and annonomous) nick, so I encourage you all to sign the petition using your real names if you truly want it to stand any chance of helping to get this figure made. That said however you decide to show your support in signing the petition is greatly appreciated.

Join the fight people, call for a Dr Loomis figure from McFarlane and spread the word far and wide, and lets try and get as many signatures and supporters on this
petition as we possibly can to prove to the powers that be that there is indeed a market for this figure, we want it and we mean
business. If we can get enough signatures then went sent to McFarlane Toys hopefully it will make the desired impact and convince them to make this figure a reality. It's up to us. Once again thank you all for your time and support.

PS. Special thanks must go out to Doug Freeman for running the petition and for the inspiration to actually get the ball rolling.

This site is now back from the dead, and just like evil, it seems that some petitions never die. The original petition came in at around 500 signatures just before the petition site holder's server shut down, and as such shows just how much demand there is out there for McFarlane to create a Doctor Loomis figure to go along side their Michael Myers one.
Just before the site containing the petitions closed down I sent news of just how popular and large the petition had grown to McFarlane to inform them of the amount of interest still out there for good old Doc Loomis, but that was a year ago, and while I thought they may have taken notice at the time it appears that nothing has ultimately come from it, so Doug has started another petition and we're going to try all over again to get McFarlane's attention and get this figure made, and it's our intention to keep hounding them until they relent and finally give us fans what we so desperately want.
So if you signed before we ask you to kindly do so again, and if you've already signed the new petition then please spread the word, because the only way that this has a chance of working is if we, the fans, get together and help to make it so. Any pages that wish to support this effort can either take our banner from the links page, or can email me directly and I'll send it to them, along with the code to make it work. Also any webpages that do wish to support our efforts please conttact me via email and I'll add your banners and/or links to our supporters page.
So come on, let's kick this thing into gear and see if we can't get a Doctor Loomis figure from McFarlane for 2003!
