Students for Christ

What We Are About

Students for Christ is an organization built out of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes program.  The main goals are witnessing to students and teaching students how to be a witness for God.  The FCA program was designed as more of a fellowship for already Christians, but as Christians it is our duty to speak the word to others who have not heard it.  SFC is very focused on that one goal.

Through the many outreach programs that SFC already has either in place, or very close to being in place, we pray that we will be able to make a very positive impact in our community especially in our school.  We wish to be able to provide Bibles for those who need them, we wish to provide multiple ways that people can learn of the glory of God, and we wish to provide a living example on what life as a Christian should be like.

If you would like to learn more about how you can help our program, talk to Rachel Smith or Andy Adams and we will point you in the right direction.  In the mean time feel free to visit our website at www.oocities.org/sfc_cheyenne.  If you wish to view our multimedia presentation on Accepting Christ or Starting Your Life as a Christian please email us at sfc_cheyenne@yahoo.com.  Any general questions can also be directed there.  The multimedia will be available on CD-ROM as soon as technical problems can be worked out.

BE PREPARED

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. -1Peter 3:15-16

There you go. Plain as day. God commanded us to be top notch! If you wanted to be a scientist for NASA, you'd have to study and prepare to earn that job and the problems present with that job. When people see that we're Christians, they're not going to automatically believe us. They're gonna want to know WHY you believe what you do. You don't want to be unprepared when you have a chance to witness to someone, do you? Just like studying for a test, learn verses to back up what you believe and be prepared for a test of your faith. God will guide you!

I guess that us why I like the song “God of Wonders.”  The lyrics describe God as holy, but also full of wonder.  Go to His Word today and begin to explore the wonders of our God.  And then pray to lyrics of this song.  You’ll be amazed at the Rewarder’s response.

Prescious Lord, reveal Your hear to me.

Father holy, holy.

The universe declares Your Majesty.

You are holy, holy, holy.

He is willing to reveal Himself to you, this very moment; all that you have to do is ask.  The universe declares His majesty, join the choir, sing along, sin to our all-loving, all-knowing, all-forgiving, all-powerful Lord Almighty.  Sing holy, holy, holy.

God of Wonders

By Third Day

God of wonders beyond our galaxy

You are holy, holy.

The universe declares Your Majesty

You are holy, holy.

Is anything to hard for God? I don’t think people question Gods ability to do things.  After all, He is God, our all-powerful deity!  But many people question His willingness to do things for them.  I used to be this way.  I used to question whether God really card about me; if He was really interested in my day-to-day existence, why would He, He has everyone else to worry about too.  But then I began to read my Bible.  I found out a lot of things that I didn’t know.  I found out that God really does care about me, and He cares about you.
