Following the workshop, a request to publish proposed rulemaking for Chapter 18-21, Sovereignty Submerged Lands Management, was presented on June 12, 2001, to the Governor and Cabinet, sitting as the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund.  The Trustees directed staff to take additional time to analyze existing scientific data, gather any additional information, consider exclusion zones, and reconsider the proposed fee structure.  With that, the Trustees approved the withdrawal of the requested rulemaking and expect staff to submit a request in the future after the additional tasks have been completed.

If you have any questions or wish to submit additional comments, please contact Eric Bush at 850-921-5330 or through e-mail at Eric.Bush@dep.state.fl.us.
