The new Air China will have a fleet of 118 aircrafts,most of which are Boeing series, incleding 42 wide-bodied passenger aircrafts like Boeing 747,777,767 and Airbus 340. In 2002, the total passenger traffic volume amounted to 18,174,000 and the operating revenue from the core business reached 23.19 billion RMB. It operates 322 routes including 56 international and 266 domestic routes and offers 2472 scheduled services weekly. It also owns branches based in Chengdu, Hangzhou,Chongqing,Tianjin and Inner Mongolia. It has altogether 29 domestic offices and 48 overseas offices. The overall strength of the new Air China ranks the first among the Chinese airlines.
