I send deep sympathies from my wife and me on the passing away of your husband Mr Tan Bah Chee (PPA, PBM, BBM) on 2nd January 1999.
I remember him as a stalwart supporter from the early days of the PAP. He was a tower of strength in the Pasir Panjang constituency.
Please convey our deep condolences to your songs, your daughter and their spouses and children.
With his passing, another strand in my life has been broken.
