Manabi Straight Episode 6.5 Summary
Momoha is being herself once again. Apparently, she is
stalking Mika who woke up earlier than she usually does and explain the
greatness of the summer holidays. Meanwhile, Mika's mother wonder why Mika set
the alarm clock when she woke up earlier than the time set for it to ring.
The scene changes to the poolside in what is expected to be Momoha's home. She,
Manami, Mei and Mika were cleaning the pool while playing at the same time.
Mostly, everyone except for Mei is doing so. But it did not take long before she
join in. Just then, Momoha's maid brought them refreshments. All of the sudden,
Manami talk about their summer training camp, imagining it to be an enjoyment of
the lifetime. When she has enough of her fruitful imagination, she saw everyone
drinking their refreshments and having the intention to take hers. Manami waste
no time joining them.
After she joined them, they get into a conversation about summer holidays being
special. Mei has her opinion about this, saying that summer holidays is special
because they are just influenced by the fact that summer holidays brought about
change and these changes are thought to be special since they will be doing
things unlike their daily routines. At first, no one actually understand what
she is saying and Mika had her repeating what she said numerous times. But
eventually, Manami understand that Mei is just saying she isn't that easily
influenced by everything happening around her. Momoha states the fact that this
is the first time they have ever played outside school with Mei. And apparently,
that is special as well.
In school at the baseball court, Mutsuki is getting ready to join them after her
baseball practice. She phone Mika to tell them that and will soon discover they
might not be doing what they are supposed to do. On her way there, she hear a
few salesgirls saying that how carefree students were since the summer holidays
have arrived. Mutsuki does not like what she is hearing.
Initially, work is being done by the girls on the pool. But once again, it soon
become play time for them within minutes. Arriving at Momoha's home, Mutsuki can
see that with them holding water guns. She is disappointed by what she is and
even more when Mei is there playing with them as well. Mutsuki become angry and
state that this is the reason why students like them is being looked down by the
other members of society.
However, it did not take long before Mutsuki decide to heck with that and join
them in their fun.
And here comes the summer training camp. After missing the train to where they
are going, Mei, Mutsuki, Momoha and Mika sat under the sun while Manami went to
buy some refreshments for them. She is kind enough to get one for the train
operator as well but when she return back to them, she realize that she forget
to get the disposable spoons for their ice cream. Nevertheless, they got onto
the second train and slept all the way to their destination apparently.
Afterthought said that they can only wonder what is going to happen on their
summer training camp.
When arriving to their destination's train station, they were stunned to
discover that a storm is raging at this moment in time. Under the rain and
facing heavy wind, all five attempt to find shelter, deciding that they shall
not head to their final destination whatsoever. During this period of time, Mika
is almost blown away by the strong wind numerous times with her friends helping
her out.
Eventually, they reach a hotel where they were allowed to stay without
reservations. Manami thank her brother for sending the money needed to do so
while it seems that everyone decide the summer training camp is going to be held
here. Unfortunately, summer training camp turn out to be not quite the event
they thought. With Mei declaring that they should play a card game, all five
started playing around, table tennis and all sort of things. As a matter of
fact, they spent the whole day doing that.
When everyone decide that it is time for them to go to bed, it turn out that
Mika cannot fall asleep. She went out to get herself a drink and meet one of the
waitresses there. She had a conversation with her, listening to her praising
that it must be great having the summer holidays now and conducting the training
camp with her friends. She later state that she has never attended high school
but she never regret that. As it turn out, she has hoped to work in this hotel
since she liked doing so. Mika is quite jealous of her since the waitress know
what she want to do while Mika don't.
Unfortunately, the conversation is interrupted with her needed to carry out her
work. The waitress left Mika while the owner of the hotel thank Mika for talking
to her as it has been a long time since the waitress has ever talked to anyone
her age.
Returning to her bedroom, Mika is convinced that even though they did not get to
their final destination, the place they have stayed still present them the
summer training camp they are here for. She will live with that.
The scene then changes to Momoha putting up all that has happened during the
summer training camp onto their Student Council website and proclaiming that
summer holidays are the student's rights. While looking at the website, the
president of the Seioh High phoned Kyouko to discuss something with her. Kyouko,
at the same time, is reading the website as well.
