Today I am still fixing up the equipment. I've finished the first part which is the part up to the RS485 master. I also tried programmnig that ILC but it was difficult because PC WORX caused so many errors with the libraries.

I finally fixed up the test rack's hardware. Back to the software part, I'm still stuck with the problems caused by the libraries.

Today I asked Michael Fuhs for help. He gave us a tip to re-install the whole PC WORX. I doubted him at first, but I tried by uninstalling the English version and installed the German one. Now it worked! The software part, where the old and new function blocks are combined together just worked together! Finally it can be downloaded into the ILC and the ILC worked well by being the slave to the computer installed with "Acron Connect" as well as being the master to a RS485 network.

I fell sick today with a fever, so I didn't turn up for work. In the evening I took the night trani to München.

I arrived in München in the morning. The train ride was too uncomfortable for sleeping peaceflly, so I was aching & yawning when I got out of the train. I took another train to Füssen & there I went to Schloß Neuschwanstein. This castle is the one which is seen in Walt Disney's logo. After touring the castle the heavens opened. I made my way back to München. There I checked into the youth hostel, the I had Pork Knuckles for dinner! This is the best German food to me! I finished the day by entering the Hacker Festzelt beer tent. I managed to down 1 litre of beer & still stood up sober.

I visited Marienplatz, the famous city centre of München. I watched the Glockenspiel show. For lunchI met up with some Singaporeans studying in München. The pair from Mannheim introduced all of them to me. Later we re-visited the fairgrounds. It was so crowded that it was not possible to enter any beer tent. I looked after their bags while they went on roller coaster rides. In the evening, the heavens opened again. I just went back to the hostel to get dry and cleaned before going to Munich's main train station (München Hbf) to see the pair from Bochum off. They were booked on the night train back to Bochum.

I spent nearly 13 hours today travelling back to Lemgo from München using local trains! This sounds mad but I've done it. I picked up a soar throat along the way, so starting the new work week will be painful for me.
