There will be 2 hours of talks each day where the Venerable will explain
the principles of Ch'an meditation. Meditators will also meet venerables

Frequently Asked Questions
I cannot take leave from work during this period of time.
Can I join the camp part-time?
No. As this is an intensive meditation retreat, all participants
must be able to attend the whole camp to receive the full teachings
by the Venerables. You may want to arrange your leave now.
In emergency where you need to leave half-way, permission
from the venerable must be obtained.
There is usually a candlelight ceremony on the last evening. Can I don't join and leave earlier?
No. As candlelight ceremony is part of the camp programme,
you are expected to stay throughout. Candlelight ceremony
is a good time where participants share about what they have
learnt. Therefore, it is beneficial to listen to the sharing too.
How do I make donations for the camp or to venerables?
You can do so by sending us your cheque or bankdraft
( Please contact Sis. Pair Shen at 9688 1667 ) or do cash
donation at the retreat.
I have never learnt meditation. I do not know anything about it. Can I join?
The retreat requires participants to know and who have been practising meditation. However you may like to register for our upcoming meditation workshop, and learn meditation prior to attending the retreat.
Is this camp open for public?
Yes. The camp is not restricted to members of the NUS Buddhist
Society or its alumni. All are welcomed to join as long as they are
between 18 and 65, with the motivation to learn.
Can I don't take dinner?
Yes. But this is not compulsory and do inform the organisers when
you report on the first day. If you decide to miss dinner, please
maintain it throughout the camp.
Can I do some washing (of clothings) during retreat ?
No. As we will not be providing the facilities, and in order not to
cause too much distraction from main practice, we advise
participants to bring more clothings.
Can I bring my own meditation cushion?
Yes, you may. Cushions will be provided, but all participants
must bring along their own meditation towels.
Should you have further queries, please contact
Sis. Peisen (96881667) or email to chmeditation@yahoo.com
