Questions:
- What do you think are the advantages of having such
an evolutionary team structure for software development?
Manpower is concentrated on working at the appropriate jobs to be done in
the various stages of the software development. Human resources are reallocated
in every stage of the software development. This will ensure that none of
the members of the team shall be left idle, thus increasing efficiency.
- What are the inherent problems in such a structure?
During actual development, different portions of the software may be in different
stages, hence it will be difficult to follow these allocation. In the case
when special skills for individual areas are required, this allocation of
manpower may not prove efficient. With these large changes in every stage,
the system might become poorly structured, thus reducing its reusability.
- Modify the diagram and show how you would improve
the team structure.
