Keeping | The origin of Velvety ball fish is not clear. Believed to
be a hybrid variety. Pompon's first appeared in 1900. In general Pompon's come without dorsal fins.
Dorsal finned variety is also available. Caudal and anal fins are paired and caudal fin is forked.
Easily one of the most beautiful and are quite hardy.
They come in colours from Orange, metallic red, black and calico. Rounder the body the better
the specimen is. They can live from 4 to 6 years. These are not very competetive and must be kept
with their own kind. These are not suitable for pond use.
