Westlife, Boyzone and er...B*Witched aren't the only Irish bands with good looks and chart-topping hits, ya know! Make way for THE CORRS, a fine-looking quartet best known for blending traditional Irish music with airy pop melodies!
Well I took the above section from a local magazine named LIME and below are facts about The Corrs. In case you don't know, they have been around for a long time since 1997 I believe. Well for all those who know The Corrs, what is below will definately interest you.
1. The Corrs hail from Dundalk, east of Ireland. There's 36-year-old big bro Jim: 26-year-old 'lil sis Andrea, and middle sibs Sharon, 30, and Caroline,27.
2. Corr means "odd: eccentric: kinky" - well in some dictionaries!
3. The Corr sibs were taught at an early age to play the piano by their musician dad Gerry, Jim, who started performing at clubs with his folks at 15, decided to join the band 10 years later!
4. The band originally christened themselves "Cosmic Egg"!
5. Jim's full name is a complicated-sounding James Steven Ignatius Corr!
6. Having been voted "The Sexiest Woman in Ireland" by several bloke mags, raven-haired babe Andrea was also recently crowned "The World's Most Beautiful Woman" in a British beauty poll! Oh, did I mention? She's also an actress as well. Screen credits include Evita(starring Madonna) and a cameo on now-defunct TV soap Beverly Hills 90210 with the rest of the band.
