I saw a face

Upon the water,

Reflection.

Frozen beauty

Without emotion,

Emptiness.

Haunting eyes,

Searing across my memory,

Desolation.

Skeins of silver

Flying with the wind,

Phantasm.

Unearthly vision

In a ripple of time,

Presence.

Reality or illusion

Dissipating with the morning mist,

Imagination.
