Cathedrals, Churches, Monasteries, Castles

I have always been fascinated by the architecture of Europe's Cathedrals and Churches. Most of them were built during the Early age to the Classical era. The cathedrals represent God's house, were built with the magnificent creation by men through God. See below for some of the links and images of the cathedrals and castles.

Notre Dame De Montreal

I did a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle of the above photograph in 1994 and it is now hanging proudly on the wall of my bedroom. Whenever I look at this magnificent image the opening bars of W.A Mozart's Mass in C minor K.427 "Kyrie" plays in my mind. The opening strong chorus followed by the solo voice of "Kyrie" sung by soprano Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, I could feel the Holy Spirit descending.
