Billy Sheehan
BILLY SHEEHAN is an extraordinary bass player who formed the band, TALAS, in 1979 and recorded two albums with DAVID LEE ROTH in the mid-80s. Since 1989, he has been a member of the band, MR. BIG, as well as recording with NIACIN, TONY MCALPINE, and GREG HOWE.
"Many times when people do a solo record they take rejected songs that they tried to pawn off on other projects that didn't work. They take these songs and what you get is a watered down, not too high impact of a piece of music."
"Every time I have had a chance to do something, I have always went out and started a band. When I left David Lee Roth, I went out and started Mr. Big. When Mr. Big took a little time off, I started a band called Niacin. This time not much was happening with Mr. Big and I was dying to play....I began to write with the express reason of going out to play on my own."
