Ye Old Keggerator

My Keggerator is a converted chest freezer. I purchased the chest freezer from a local appliance store for $200. I then ordered the draft tower online from beer beer and more beer for $119. To convert the freezer was very simple. What I had to do first was remove the top by unscrewing four screws from the back. I then turned the top upside down,  popped off the hard plastic lining and removed the foam insulation.  I cut out a piece of 3/8" plywood just smaller than the top of the freezer. I spread liquid nails all over the board and then pressed it into the inside of the freezer top securing with four flat top screws with beauty washers and wood clamping bolts. I let this sit overnight. The next day I drilled out the hole 8" back from the front of the freezer using a 3" bi-metal hole saw. I drilled from the outside in through the plywood.  Next I mounted my tower using four flat head screws and wood clamping bolts. With the plywood reinforcement this made my tower very secure.  A friend of mine who owns a local pub gave me some old tap handles he had laying around under a cabinet. And that is all that is to it.

I wanted a keg box that could hold two corny kegs and the CO2 bottle and fit inside my home office without taking up too much space. That is the reason I purchased the 6.8 cubic foot freezer. It would actually hold 3 corny kegs and the CO2 bottle with room to spare.
