There was once an ancient empire that ruled dimensions through a mystic castle hallway control center.
A rebelian soon formed and formed an underground that soon replaced their doubles in the home dimension
We managed to find a mirror that with a control we could use to transport to dimensions at will.
The great battle suprised Luther the empire's ruler by entering inside the hallway center and destroying the hall itself.
But that was not the end it turned out that was just in one dimension. there is an infinate number of castles that could never be defeated.
The rebellian went on for centuries in many worlds using the hidden doorway we had as a base of operations.
We realized the only way to end this was to create a barrier to block them from leaving their dimensions.
We found a way to locate all the dimensions in a single control box.
with a network database.
All the dimensions on the database were blocked and their hallways destroyed.
but if they should ever return they must be stopped.

You know how in a video game when you beat the game.... you have the option of playing the game again
but at a harder level with an easy advantage
they beat the first castle and saved the princess
but the game reset
and
the bad guys came back harder and harder
until they found a way to block the game from reseting
All that did was pause the game
but eventually the pause wore off .... the pause didn't stop
it only froze their dimension
the bad guys built up a resistance to the Paused game.
