The Rhoyal Ladies of the Chi Sigma Chapter pride themselves on their representation of Sigma Gamma Rho, Inc. As one of the first chapters in the sorority and one of the first chapters in the south, we pride ourselves on a legacy of community service, leadership and promotion of education at all levels.
The changing face of the Magic City of Birmingham has influenced and re-directed our efforts and mission.
While still aiming to set standards of leadership and to serve our community, we want to acknowledge the cultural diversity that is slowly becoming a part of our schools, our workplace and our community. As such Chi Sigma is redefining its mission to one that will not only continue to emphasize its commitment to education at all levels as well as literacy for both children and adults but that will also promote cultural diversity.
Our efforts for this millenium will concentrate on academic achievements in our schools and on building bridges between the various ethnic influences and communities within the Greater Community of Birmingham.
