BBC UK POLITICS PAGE Revolts - Philip Cowley's excellent website, kept up to date, detailing the revolting activities of MPs - Tory as well as Labour! Gateway Sites - the following pages are collections of political links. BBC News selection of political links Richard Kimber's Political Science Resources - produced by a lecturer at Keele, these pages are a huge resource for politics students, containing hundreds of links. He includes links to pages on political theory, useful for the A2 students. You will never get to use all of these, so be discerning; for example, he includes a large number of links to American university pages and sites, which you do not need. Links to political publications The Spectator magazine - Online edition does not contain the full contents of the print magazine, but quite a bit of material is still readily accessible. Always worth checking out the politics column and related feature articles for an articulate right-wing view! You need to register but its free. The New Statesman - A weekly political journal like the Spectator, above. This one is published from a left-wing standpoint, with often interesting and provovative articles. This link takes you to their home page, where you can read the introductions to this week's magazine articles, but they do not publish any of the magazine online - you either have to buy the print edition, or purchase online access. The Daily Telegraph - the web pages of the broadsheet newspaper. Conservative viewpoint; you have to register for the full stories, but its free. Politics coverage not as well organised as the Guardian, but worth using nonetheless for gaining broader coverage. Tuition Links History Learning Site - this link takes you to the British Politics pages of the History Learning Site. This is aimed at A-level students, and the list of topics covers nearly the full range of those needed for AS-level. Clicking on a topic gives you a page of description and explanation - it is basically an online textbook. Well worth using, especially for revision and summary purposes. Most topics contain helpful recent examples as well. Tutor 2 U - clicking here takes you to the home page of an excellent and comprehensive online learning resource that covers not just politics, but also Business and Economics. This front page gives you an idea of the range of coverage. Materials to buy Politico's Bookshop - Dedicated to politics, their online shop has a large range of political books, videos, tapes and DVD's. Worth browsing. Philip Allan Updates - this group publish a wide range of Politics materials, including the magazine 'Politics Review'. Past students have found the revision guides to be very useful - this material can only be ordered direct from Philip Allan - they are not sold in shops.
