Dallas Rangemaster
Here is my homemade Dallas Rangemaster. I used a BC109C silicon transistor, instead of the recommended germanium transistor that was suggested. I also used a slightly smaller input cap, I used a .0056uF instead of a .0068uF. It sounds great with only a small amount of noise. I haven't found a case for it yet, so it hasn't been used much. It definately has that 'Beano' sound to it!
This is the RangeMaster in the RACO junction box before it's been painted. When drilling the box the punchout the output jack is through almost got punched out...guess the drilling was a little too hard...oops.
Here is the completed project...unless I decide to put a label on it or something. It's a nice dark blue spray paint...I got too anxious to play it and couldn't wait for it to dry overnight so I ended up scratching it in a few places when putting it back together. This is the best pedal I've made...I love it!
