Here is an old Squier Strat, one of the first ones from Japan. It has a neck date of 10-23-84. The gold pickguard is from the Fender Custom Shop. This guitar sounds great, except right now the bridge pickup is really weak. The pots didn't have date codes, they only had a couple of numbers and the value (250K ohms.)

The neck pickup is missing the cover, but it looks pretty neat without it. The winding almost matches the gold pickguard.
