UCLA Extension's Online Teaching Program for Academic and Business Professionals - Conventional Track

This program emphasizes both a theoretical base and practical application of recent theories in
distance education, particularly in computer-based learning. All courses are offered entirely online
and are designed to prepare educators for the virtual classroom environment — technology,
presentation, instructional design, curriculum development, and research tools.

The core courses are offered each quarter. This intensive sequential format allows for completion of
the program within two or three quarters. Elective courses also are available periodically throughout
         the year.

This sequence of courses is useful for teachers upgrading their competencies for 21st-century
classrooms and for administrators involved in curriculum development and program implementation.
No prior experience with online instruction is required.
