Physical Anthropology

This guide is intended to assist university-level students and faculty, and the interested casual web browser, in finding high quality internet sites on physical or biological anthropology topics.

This guide contains links to sites that contain information about physical or biological anthropology, human evolution, osteology, bioarchaeology, paleopathology, or forensic anthropology.

It does not contain links to sites on pseudo-science topics, aliens, creationism, or intelligent design.

Although there are many good sites on particular cultural studies in physical anthropology, this guide is intended to provide a general introduction to the major sub-topics within the field. For example, it includes topics on osteology, but not the skeletal remains of particular ethnic or cultural groups.

All resources included in this site were chosen with regard to information accuracy, last updated date, authority of the author or group, and overall site quality.

Please click on the menu links to the left to navigate through the site.
