ALTERNATE CHARACTERS

While Shadowed Isles permits our players to have more than one characters, the following restrictions apply:

     * Two Supers (Vampire, Shifter, Mage & Changeling)
     * Two Mortal+ (Sorcerors, Psychics, etc.)
     * Up to 3 Mortals (Ordinary Human Beings)

Players may also have more than one PC in a single sphere, though the PCs may not interact. For example, a player may have both a ghoul and a vampire, so long as they do not have contact with one another. Interaction is defined as being in the same room/scene together, letters, notes or phone calls, etc., sharing IC information between the two, or otherwise being in IC contact. If IC circumstances leads to a situation where alts MIGHT be forced to interact, then it is YOUR responsibility to come up with an IC excuse and/or an OOC reason for why they DO NOT interact.

If a player wishes to keep their Alts a secret, which is perfectly all right, they can say OOCly they must leave, or make an IC excuse for the departing Alt. If the player has no problem revealing their identiy, they can simply
tell the other players OOCly those are their Alts, and make an IC excuse for one Alt to depart the scene.

However, if a player runs into an IC situation where BOTH their Alts MUST be in a scene together (and it happens!), they should immediately contact Staff and explain the situation. A member of SI staff will then observe the scene until such time as one Alt may be posed out. This protects the player from accusations of "cheating," and assures both Staff and other players that everything was handled appropriately. Even so, every attempt should be made to avoid such situations.

There is no penalty imposed on a player in the above-mentioned situation, however, should Staff discover the sharing of IC information between Alts, there will be an investigation by Staff, and appropriate action taken.
