COMBAT ETHICS =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The following are rules a Judge can and will impose before combat begins: 1. NO OCC TALKING DURING COMBAT SCENES. This can be extremely distracting to the Judge and other players involved in the scene. Please take all superfluous comments and chatter to page or sphere channel. Any and all disputes MUST be sent to the Judge in PAGE ONLY. The one permissable, un-related comment is a warning via OOCTalk (OOCT) that a participant is leaving their keyboard and will be idle. 2. NO ROLLING OF DICE unless specifically requested to by a Judge via OOCtalk or page. Such unsolicited rolls will be considered invalid. 3. NO POSING unless and until specifically told to do so by a Judge via OOCtalk or page. Mistakes do happen, and timing gets confusing, and both will be taken into consideration by the Judge. 4. IDLING for longer than 10 minutes after being asked to "Declare", "Roll" or "POSE" will earn players a +beep the first time, and a Loss of Action if it happens a second time - with automatic 0 successes. Please remember that combat takes a long time, and any delay can be annoying to both Judge and players. Should these posted rules be broken by any player more than 3 times, the Judge (at his discretion) is FULLY within his rights to take over the offending PC's Declares, Rolls and Poses in order to complete the scene in a timely manner. This may sound harsh, but it is unfair to both the Judge and other players to have combat constantly interrupted, and an otherwise short scene take hours to complete. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Return to News Menu |
