FEATURE PCs
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

There are spheres on Shadowed Isles which have what are known as Feature PCs, and this news file should clear up any confusion and answer any questions on this subject.

A Feature PC should --

-- be a link between Sphere Staff and Sphere players. That way, if problems do arise, they can act as a representative for their fellow players, and help to straighten out any misunderstandings amongst the players, or between Staff and players.

-- help promote RP for the Sphere through TPs, ideas, scenes and by working with other players to help in character development.

-- NEVER be idle, unfindable or only RP with select players. This defeats the purpose of having a Feature PC.

-- ALWAYS make themselves available to everyone in the Sphere as often as possible.

-- be online a certain number of hours weekly. Required hours may vary between the spheres, so the Feature PC should always check with the appropriate Sphere Wizard. This is simply common sense. Just as Staff needs to be on for players, so do Feature PCs. Average hours are roughly 10-15 hours per week.

-- NEVER ostracize or otherwise alienate any specific player(s) in the sphere. Their purpose is to promote RP and draw ALL new players into, and help them adjust to the sphere.

-- understand the concept of "With great power comes great responsibility," and realize that failure to follow the above concept and guidelines can result in the loss of the Feature slot and the stats that go with it.
