I was there in the beginning. I was there when all supernatural life disappeared from Bar Harbor. Very few know the story, or survived the darkness that followed. When survivors of the Larson holocaust arrived, they found no supernatural presence, a mystery which has haunted them ever since. Bar Harbor is dark. A world where the good guys don't always wear white hats, nor do they win. Each shadow holds an enigma, one that can lead to salvation or damnation in a single, slow heartbeat... All of life can be broken down into transitive moments of revelation. This was both. It has been said there is a greater darkness than the one we fight. A cold darkness of a soul which has lost its way, and abandoned hope. The war we fight isn't against the supernaturals or the "Powers That Be," it is a battle against chaos and despair, damnation and hell. Greater than a physical war, it is the death of hope, of ideals, of dreams. We stand opposed to this peril, and we may never surrender. The Future depends on us, waiting in moments of transition. Waiting to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows what shape that Future will take, or where it will lead.
