The Slave Dragon

Ash and Pikachu were walking in the forest. Snow was falling all around them. "We'll show them. Won't we Pikachu?" Said Ash.

Yeah. Pikachu replied shivering a bit.

"Hey Pikachu are you okay?" Ash asked.

I'm fine. Pikachu replied.

"All right. I don't believe Misty and Brock would say that Pikachu." Ash said sadly.

Yeah. Misty is usually the one who complains not us. Pikachu said.

                                                            Flashback

"Quit acting so selfish Ash." Misty said.

"I'm not acting selfish." He defended.

"You are to." She said.

"Are not" He said.

"Are to." She said.

"Can you two please calm down?" Brock said.

"You couldn't survive on your own Ash." She said.

"Could too." Ash defended.

"Could not." She said.

"Could too." He said.

"Oh yeah." She said.

"Yeah." He said.

"Prove it." She said.

"All right. I will." Ash said as he walked to his bag and checked all of his stuff. "Come on Pikachu. It's time to go."

Yeah. I don't think we could stand being around here anymore. Pikachu said.

"Ash, you can't possibly leave. You don't even know where to go. If you get lost in the snow and it turns into a blizzard then you could be lost forever." Brock said.

"The same could happen to you Brock." Ash said as he struggled to contain the tears as he walked away.

"Ash, I...I didn't mean it." Misty whispered. Ash continued to walk on. He then took off into a run.

(Good-bye Misty. Good-bye Brock. I wish you two the best of luck in getting out of the snow before it can become a blizzard.) Ash thought as he ran.

                                                            Normal

"Alright. I admit I did complain about missing my chance at catching Raikou, but that's a rare pokemon. At least I hurt it a bit." Ash said shivering. He wrapped his jacket around him tighter after putting Pikachu into it as well.

Brrr. Raikou is powerful. I remember how strong his spark was. That hurt. Pikachu said from deep inside the jacket.

"We need to get out of the snow Pikachu." Ash said. He then saw a cave up ahead. (We can go there.) Ash thought as he ran for the cave. Upon entering Ash noticed quite a few things that made the cave different from other caves. For one it had torches on the walls. They were spaced about a yard away from the other. There was one on each side. They lit up the cave to a good extent. As Ash and Pikachu went deeper into the cave they noticed there were dragons inscribed on the walls. (I wonder what they are for?) Ash thought. They reached the back of the cave which could not seem to feel the cold air that was from outside. (This is weird.) Ash thought. He then saw a stone. It was shaped like a Dragonair. It had a ruby stone in the horn and a sapphire stone in the tail. (This is really weird.) Ash thought. "I wonder what it is." Ash said.

What's that? Pikachu asked.

"I don't know." Ash said. As Ash looked at the stone Pikachu's ears perked up.

Ash! Someone's coming. Pikachu said nervously.

"Huh. What do you mean Pikachu?" Ash asked.

"How did you find this place?" a voice said behind them. Ash quickly turned around so that they could face the speaker.

"Clair." Ash said startled.

"Yes, Ash it's me. Clair the gym leader of Blackthorn City." She said. "Go Dragonair. Use Blizzard." The Dragon started summing the blizzard from outside into the cave.

"What are talking about? Aaaaaaah, Pikachu! Thunderbolt! Hit it on the horn." Ash said startled. (Why is she attacking me? I didn't mean to cause trouble.)

"Alright Ash." Pikachu agreed as it fired a bolt of electricity right on Dragonair's horn. Dragonair then lost control of the blizzard making all of them get hurt from it. Dragonair then fell on the ground with swirls in its eyes.

"No, Dragonair." Clair mumbled. "Go Gyaradoes. Hydro Pump."

"Pikachu use agility." Ash said quickly. Pikachu then started running around the room towards the sea serpent dodging the hydro pumps. "Use thunder." Ash said when Pikachu was directly under Gyaradoes. Pikachu fired a powerful thunder attack directly at Gyaradoes. Pikachu then used agility to avoid the falling sea serpent.

"No, not Gyaradoes too." Clair mumbled. "Go Kingdra. Dragonbreath."

"Pikachu agility." Ash said. Pikachu started to run quickly around the dragon. "Thunder." Ash said.

"Kingdra twister." Clair ordered. Pikachu fired a powerful lightning bolt from its cheeks. Kingdra then brought up a twister to block it.

"No. Hmmm. Wait I got it!" Ash said. (If I can get the twister to pull in the thunder. Then maybe I could win this battle.) He thought.

What is it Ash? I need all the help I can get here. Pikachu said.

"It's to late. Kingdra dragonbreath." Clair ordered. Kingdra took in as much air as it could and fired a wave of fire that was headed toward Pikachu.

"Pikachu agility." Ash said. Pikachu then took off in a run again. "Pikachu use thunder. Aim it a little to the left." Ash finished quietly. Pikachu fired another lightning bolt toward Kingdra, except a little to the left

"Kingdra twister." Clair said. Kingdra then brought up another twister. The thunder flew by the twister. "Is Pikachu unable to aim Ash?" Clair mocked. The thunder then started to turn in the same direction the twister was spinning. "No Kingdra!" Clair yelled at the sight of the thunder sinking into the twister. The twister soon stopped and Kingdra was on the ground with swirls in its eyes. "No Kingdra. Return." Clair said as she returned her pokemon and ran out into the blizzard.

"Wait, Clair come back. Don't go out into the blizzard. No Clair wait!" Ash yelled. Ash then started running towards the exit after Clair, but stopped suddenly.

(Come back to the stone chosen one.)

"Huh, what was that?"

(Come back to the stone.) Ash then slowly walked back to the stone as if in a trance. Pikachu was watching him curiously.

(Rest your right hand on the stone.) Ash heard once he was standing in front of the stone.

Both stones on the dragonair-like thing started to glow. Ash then heard something in his head.

(What do you wish for?) The voice asked.

Ash looked around quickly as he seemed to come out of his trance. "Who are you?" He asked.

(What do you wish for?) It asked again. Ash then looked down at the stone.

"You're doing this aren't you." He said.

(Yes, but what do you wish for?) He heard again.

"Umm. What are you." Ash asked.

(I was a powerful trainer until I was sealed into the stone. My pokemon were then sealed into the wall.) Ash looked at the wall and saw a Charazard, Aerodactle, Dragonite, Dragonair, a dragon he hadn't saw before, the dragon had four feet with two large wings on its back, and a Gyaradoes.

"Wow, those are awesome Pokemon." Ash said.

"I never thought I ever saw a trainer with that many dragons." Pikachu said. "Well except maybe Clair." Pikachu said.

"Are you a dragon trainer?" Ash asked.

(Yes I was.) Ash heard again.

"How can you grant wishes?" Ash asked.

(Through the power of dragons. One of those dragons, the most powerful one, Rayquaza is the main source.")

"Oh, who's Rayquaza?" Ash asked. He pulled out his pokedex, which had no data on the pokemon.

(Rayquaza is the one who holds the balance between the legendaries of Ground and Water.)

"Who are they?" Ash asked.

(I'm afraid I don't know.)

"Oh." Ash said.

(What do you wish for?)

"Huh, oh. Hmmm." Ash thought for a moment. "I wish for you to return to normal."

(Are you...are you serious?)

"Yep." Ash replied.

(If you do that then you, nor anyone else can have any wishes.)

"Yeah, everyone needs to be able to live, and living in a stone doesn't seem like living to much." Ash said.

(All right. Your wish is granted.) After a bright flash Ash adjusted his eyes.

"Ash. Where is the stone?" Pikachu asked.

"Huh, stone. Oh no, where is it?" Ash asked.

"Behind you." A voice said behind him. Ash turned around to see someone was now standing behind him. He had red spiked hair and black armor with golden dragons on it.

"Who...who are you?" Ash asked.

"Lance. I thought you would remember me Ash. I was the one who caught the red Gyaradoes." Lance said.

"Huh, oh Lance. Sorry I didn't recognize you." Ash said as he rubbed the back of his head. "How did you end up in the stone?" Ash asked.

"You mean the Dragon Shard." Lance said. "I wondered into this cave a long time ago. When I came in I was greated by the dragon I told you of earlier. He was the one gaurding the Dragon Shard. When I came in he woke up."

"Then what happened?" Ash asked.

Yeah then what? Pikachu asked curiously.

"Then he decided that since I was a dragon master that I could take over guarding the Dragon Shard. He then sealed me into the stone. So that I could watch over it until a pure hearted human released me. I owe you for releasing me." Lance said.

"Your welcome I guess." Ash replied.

"Ash you do know that this is not a normal blizzard." Lance said.

"WHAT?" Ash said surprised.

"This blizzard was caused by the very same dragon that sealed me to keep others from finding the Dragon Shard." Lance said.

"Wow really?" Ash said.

"Yes Ash. He is currently on top of the mountain using his abilities to cause this ice storm." Lance said.

"Why would he do that?" Ash asked.

"I don't know." Lance said as the dragon master looked at the drawings on the walls.

"Hey Lance, is there anyway to save your pokemon." Ash asked.

"Only Rayquaza himself could breath life into them again." Lance said depressingly.

"Oh." Ash said quietly.

"We need to get on top of the mountain Ash. Do you have any pokemon that can get us to the top?" Lance said.

"Hmmm. Let me see." Ash said. (Noctowl isn't large enough or strong enough to fly in this blizzard. Cyndaquil, Totodile, Phanpy, and Pikachu can't fly.) "No, come to think about it I don't have any pokemon strong enough to fly us up there."

"Then we could be in for a long hike." Lance said. (If only I had my pokemon.) They then walked out of the cave and into the roaring blizzard.

"Hey Lance how are we going to be able to stay together?" Ash asked in the roaring wind as he wrapped his jacket around him.

"Hmmm. By our voices." Lance said as the dragon master walked on.

"Ash! Where are you?" A familiar voice yelled from the blizzard.

"Ash please tell us your okay." Another familar voice said.

"I take it you know them." Lance said as they continued to walk through the blizzard.

"Just.... keep going. They'll just get in the way." Ash replied.

Its not like they care about us anyways. They probably only want to be with us so they can be on TV when we become the best. Pikachu said quietly sadly.

"Your right buddy." Ash said in similar tone.

"Ash. Since we need to keep together by voices and they seem to be something worth talking about why not try talking about them." Lance said.

"I'd rather not. Why not talk about your past. I don't know anything about that." Ash said coldly.

"Never mind." Lance replied quietly.

"No really. I don't know anything about it." Ash said coldly.

"Just drop it." Lance said.

"No rea.." Ash was then cut off.

"Drop it." Lance said and continued to walk through the blizzard. "Can you see my cape?"

"Yeah." Ash said.

"Whenever you can't see it just give a yell." Lance said as they still continued on. (How will I be able to help once we get to the top and confront him? I don't have any pokemon to fight him. How will I be able to help?) Lance thought. After a few minutes of walking they heard the voices again.

"Ash! There you are!" One of the voices said.

"Great." Ash mumbled.

"Ash. Why'd you run off like that?" the other one asked. Now both people were now caught up only to reveal it was Brock and Misty. "Ash you really shouldn't be out in this blizzard. We found a pokemon center a little ways back. Come on." Brock said.

"Yeah come on Ash. You don't want to catch a cold do you?" Misty asked.

"Look I can't go back yet. This blizzard was caused by a pokemon and we have to stop it." Ash said as he looked up towards Lance.

"Your right Ash." Lance agreed.

"Well in that case. You can't go without me. You need medical supplies." Brock said.

"What!? Brock! I thought we were going to get Ash to go back to the Pokemon Center!” Misty yelled.

"Hmmm, maybe so Misty, but if we stop the pokemon then the blizzard stops as well." Brock said.

"Brock!" Misty said. "I'm going back. Are you coming with me or not?"

"I think I'll go with them." Brock said. Misty then stormed off to the pokemon center. "She might of came if she had Togepi with her, but instead she left her at the pokemon center."

"Are we going or not?" Lance asked sternly. (That wasted our time. Come to think of it though he might have some powerful pokemon that can help in stopping the dragon.)

"Yeah." Ash said with a new found burst of happiness.

"Guess we need to get going." Brock said. They then continued on through the snow. They then came across a large creature with a metallic like skin surface. It had two things that seemed like rockets for legs and feet. It had shoulders that were shaped like a giant silver ball. It had a brown arm with three red dots at the end of the arm in front of each claw. Its main body was like a ball with the middle cut out. In the cut out he had brown metallic skin with seven dots in the center that seemed to be its eyes. There was one dot in the center with the other six dots surrounding the center one.

"What's that?" Ash asked. He then pulled out his pokedex and checked it.

"No data is known." The pokedex said.

"Hmmm. Maybe it's not a pokemon Ash." Brock said.

"Yeah guess your right. Hey, where's Lance." Ash asked.

"Huh, Oh ho." Brock said.

"Lance!" They both yelled.

                                                     *Lance*

(Those two have been quiet. They usually talk to each other at least.) Lance thought. Lance then turned around to look at the two companions only to notice they were no longer behind the dragon master. (Oh great. Where are they?) Lance then turned forward to see a large creature now standing there. It was large with icy blue skin. It had pikes of ice for feet, and a large ice pike for a body. Its arms were like crystals in shape and ended with three little crystals of ice for fingers. In the center of its body were seven little dots for eyes. There was one in the middle with one above and below it and two on the left and the right. "Regice one of the three who serve Rayquaza!" Lance said with a bit of fear in the dragon master's voice.

                                                                   *Ash*

"I wonder what it is?" Ash said as he redirected his attention toward the metallic creature.

"Good question. Maybe if we wait here then maybe Lance will come back. He probably only went ahead to scout out the area." Brock said changing the subject.

"Alright and while we're here we can check out this thing." Ash said.

Ash! It's cold. Have you forgot about the blizzard? Pikachu asked.

"Oh. I guess your right." Ash said noticing the blizzard and pulling his jacket close to him and turning away from the golem like creature.

"Grrrmm" Ash heard behind him.

"Huh, what was that?" Ash asked.

"Ash! Behind you!" Brock yelled.

"Huh,”, Ash said as he turned around," ah. It's moving." Ash then ran a few yards away from the creature and turned to face it. "What are you?"

"Regggiii Stteeeeeeeelll." It replied.

"Hmmm. I guess it's a pokemon so I'll battle it. Go! Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Ash ordered.

All right. Pikachu said as it jumped out of Ash's jacket and landed in the snow and then fired a lightning bolt at the golem to have little effect. The creature's claws then turned into solid metal and struck Pikachu and sent him flying.

"No! Pikachu!" Ash yelled as he ran to his friend’s side. He then picked her up and stuck him in his jacket. If electricity doesn't effect you then how about water. Go! Totodile! Water Gun!" Ash ordered. The tiny crocodile like creature came out with a little dance and sprayed the golem with it knocking it back. The golem like creature the formed a giant ball in his hands and threw it toward Totodile who jumped and avoided it. The ball then went flying into the blizzard until it went out of sight. "That was close. Totodile! Spray it again." Ash said. Totodile again sprayed it and completely soaked the golem and freezing in the blizzard.

"Good job Ash. You stopped it." Brock said.

"Yeah. Great job Totodile." Ash said as he ran up to hug the crocodile. He then returned him and looked at Brock. We need to get going to the top. Lance is probably already up there waiting on us.

"You’re right, Ash. Let's go." Brock said.

                                                            *Lance*

Lance was now staring at the giant block of ice. (Is it even awake? I would rather not find out.) Lance thought as a slight humming seemed to come from behind the dragon master. Lance turned around to see a giant ball was coming closer into view. Lance jumped to the side to avoid it. The ball then hit the golem of ice. "Great" Lance mumbled as the golem like creature came to life. (This is not a good day. How can I fight this thing?) Lance wondered. The golem then held out both of its hands and the wind seemed to turn and blow only in that direction which was toward Lance. Lance quickly ran out of the way the golem like creature's arms were facing. A wave of fire then seemed to strike down from above on the creature. The creature then seemed to fade into the wind. A dog like creature then landed near where the ice golem like creature had been. It had bright yellow fur with red stripes and had a long red mane with yellow stripes in it.

"I've been waiting for the day when you would awaken dragon master." The creature asked.

"Aren't you an Arcanine?" Lance asked.

"Yes." He replied.

"Hmmm. I take it you are supposed to watch over Mt. Silver." Lance said.

"No. I only watch over the Regis'." He said.

"Aren't they under Rayquaza though?" Lance asked. Noticing the blizzard was seeming to split around where they were standing.( What's up with the blizzard?) Lance wondered.

"Yes, but that I'm supposed to make sure they stay in their slumber." He replied.

"All right tell me. Have you seen two others in this blizzard?" Lance asked.

"Hmmmm,", he said as he closed his eyes, "They are in this direction. Get on my back." He ordered. The dragon master quickly obeyed.

                                                            *Ash*

They were now about three fourths up the mountain when they saw a lion like creature charging through the snow coming right towards them.

"What’s going on!?" Brock yelled.

"Ahhhhhh." Ash said as him and Brock started running. The creature then ran by them and curved in front of them. They then saw Lance jump off of it. "Lance! What happened to you? Did you get a new pokemon?" Ash said as he pulled out his pokedex.

"Arcanine [A/N I do not know the data.]" The pokedex said.

"No Ash. He is the one who watches over the Regis'." Lance answered.

"Ohhh." Ash replied.

"Hey Ash. Didn't the creature you froze say something like registeel?" Brock questioned.

"You’re right Brock." Ash answered.

"So you were the ones who put the waking regi to sleep. I am thankful" The Arcanine replied.

"Hey wait. If you’re an Arcanine then why do you have different colors?" Brock asked.

"I was given more strength than a normal Arcanine." He replied.

"Oh." Brock and Ash said in combination.

"We need to get going." The Arcanine said as he started uphill with the three followers.

"Hey wait a minute. How is the blizzard not hitting us?" Ash asked as he looked around and noticed the blizzard was curving around them.

"I can control how the blizzard blows." Arcanine replied as they continued the hike up the mountain. After about five minutes of walking the top was becoming visible. "A regi is awakening. I must go." He said and with that he took off.

"Wait! No! We need your help." Ash called as the giant dog like creature ran off. They then continued on nervously.

(This is not a good thing. I was hoping he would help us. I guess not.) Lance thought as they continued to the top. A little ways away they started making out a form that was long and slender and was at least twenty feet long. (That must be him. The one behind the blizzard.) Lance thought.

"Lets go up there and stop the dragon from causing anymore trouble." Ash said as he dashed forward and ran right by Lance.

"Wait up Ash!" Brock yelled to his friend as he ran to catch up.

(How can I help?) Lance thought as the dragon master's pace stayed the same. Once Lance reached the top Lance saw that they were face to face with Rayquaza and someone else. The person was about six foot tall. She had on blue jeans and a blue shirt with black tennis shoes. She had long brown hair that fell in a pony tail that stopped at her waist and had brown eyes.

"So if it isn't the dragon master." The girl said.

"Who are you?" Lance asked.

"Laurel Volcanos." The girl said confidently.

"Are you the one causing the blizzard?" Lance asked.

"No. Wouldn't dream of it. Rayquaza here is though. See I couldn't control the weather so I went and got something that could." She said.

"How did you catch the dragon." Lance asked.

"Quite simple. If you work Team Rocket you can get all kinds of little cheap ways to catch pokemon. I just took a few master balls though." She said as if it was nothing.

"You didn't even give him a chance!" The dragon master yelled.

"Nope, but since I'm willing to make a deal. I'll make a deal with you. If you can beat me in a one on one pokemon battle. Then I'll release Rayquaza and never disturb him again. If you lose you have to hand over your title as Champion." Laurel said.

"My pokemon are carved in stone." Lance said unashamed.

"Humph. Some excuse. Aren't you the dragon master?" Laurel asked.

"Yes I am." Lance replied.

"Then can't you call out to a dragon to come help you? Isn't that the whole point of being a dragon master." She asked.

"What's going on here Brock?" Ash whispered.

"I don't know." Brock replied in similar tone.

"Alright." Lance said as the dragon master's eyes shut. (That is a good point. Maybe if I could reach the hearts of my pokemon then I could release them. Who should I release first to do battle though? Wait I could check more than just the cave couldn't I. Then again, I will not battle with any other than my own pokemon. Dragonite or Salamence is my most powerful, or maybe Aerodactle, or maybe Charazard, or the red Gyaradoes, or Dragonair. Dragonair was my first and most loyal. I'll take my chances.) Lance thought as the dragon masters thoughts focused on Dragonair. (Dragonair if you can hear me then please come to me? I need your help. Please help me.) Lance thought.

(I'm coming Lance.) Lance heard in reply.

(Thank you Dragonair.) Lance thought. The dragon master's eyes then opened. "I've chosen my pokemon." Lance declared.

"Humph. In that case I choose Rayquaza." Laurel said.

(This is going to be fun.) Lance thought. They then saw a long blue slender form with a white stripe going down its body fly from over the side of the mountain. It had a long horn and bluish-brown eyes.

Lance! I'm free. I can finally help you again. Yay. Dragonair said as she danced around her trainer. So we're battling Rayquaza.

"Yeah. Think you’re up to it?" Lance asked.

I'll do anything to help you! The dragon said as she took her place on the field.

"Thanks." Lance whispered. "Brock referee the match." Lance said in a normal voice.

"Alright." Brock said as he walked toward the center of the sidelines where he stopped. "This will be a one on one pokemon battle. The first to knock out the other's pokemon wins. There is no time limit." Let the match begin."

(Dragonair call up a storm.) Lance thought. Dragonair's horn then glowed a light blue as thunderclouds formed and lightning started striking across the mountain. (Aim your lightning bolts at Rayquaza.) Lightning bolts then started striking Rayquaza.

"No! What's happening? Rayquaza use blizzard!" Laurel ordered.

(Dragonair fly into the sky and move the clouds to let the sun shine in.) Lance thought. Dragonair then flew up into the sky and the thunderclouds seemed to move away as bright sunlight then shone down weakening the power of the blizzard so it never reached Dragonair. (She must not know Rayquaza'a ability too well. (Dragonair return the blizzard, but first make it hail.) Dragonair then called up a hail storm and then fired down a blizzard on Rayquaza.

"No! Wait a minute." Laurel said. "Rayquaza weather lock." She said confidently.

(Hmmm. There went our advantage. Dragonair use thunder.) Lance thought. Dragonair then fired lightning bolts from her horn and struck Rayquaza.

"Rayquaza fire another blizzard. This time chase Dragonair into the sky." Laurel ordered.

(Dragonair fly up quickly behind the clouds and I'll tell you when Rayquaza gets close and tell you what to do. Get ready to ambush him.) Lance thought. Lance then watched Dragonair fly up above the clouds Rayquaza wasn't far behind. (Dragonair fire a blizzard straight down!) Lance thought. They then saw Rayquaza falling towards the ground. (Rayquaza wake up. You do not belong to that trainer. You are one of the ultimate dragons. Break free.) Lance thought.

(I can't. The masterball makes me obey her.) Lance heard.

"Hey, Brock." Ash said as he walked towards him.

"Yes Ash." Brock replied without taking his eyes off the match.

"Lance hasn't said anything at all during the match." Ash said.

"I know." Brock replied.

"It's weird. Dragonair's been doing so much yet Lance ordered nothing." Ash said.

"Ash. Lance did order Dragonair. They spoke through their hearts." Brock said.

"Oh, okay." Ash said.

"All right. I won the match. Release him." Lance said.

"Humph. Did you actually believe me? Hah! I'll never release Rayquaza" Laurel yelled. Lance's eyes shut again. "What can you not take it? Can you not take the fact that I don't complete deals?"

(My dragons please come to me. I need your powers to assist me in this. Please help me.) Lance thought.

(All right.) Lance heard from all the dragons.

"Tell me. Are you sure you don't want to follow your deal." Lance asked calmly.

"Yes I'm sure." Laurel replied smartly.

"Alright that was the final warning." Lance said. Five dragons then flew over the side of the mountain they were Dragonite, Salamence, red Gyaradoes, Aerodactle, and a Charazard. The six then surronded Laurel.

"What's going on?" Laurel asked.

Dragonair snatched the masterball in her mouth and flew over to Lance and handed it to her trainer. "Thanks Dragonair. This is what's going on." Lance said as a blue beam of energy flew from Dragonair's horn into the ball Lance was holding. When they could see again they saw pieces of the ball laying around on the ground.

"No! My master ball!" Laurel screamed.

(Rayquaza fly off now.) Lance thought. Rayquaza simply nodded and took to the sky's and flew to his home.

"No! Rayquaza. Clair do it now!" Laurel screamed. Clair then jumped came out on a Dragonite's back and flew after Rayquaza. She was also holding a masterball.

"I will catch Rayquaza and become not only the ultimate dragon master, but also the ultimate gym leader!" Clair yelled excitedly.

"No. We won't let you get away with this." Ash said.

"Go! Crobat! Supersonic that Dragonite!" Brock ordered. A bat with four wings the came out. He had two where his feet should be and two on his sides. He then fired purple rings toward the Dragonite.

"Dragonite avoid it and fire a hyperbeam!" Clair ordered. Dragonite turned around and fired a massive beam towards the bat.

"Crobat double team!" Brock said fantically. Crobat then made many copies of itself. The beam then hit one of the copies. "Now Crobat surrond them with you copies and strike them with your rapid spin." Crobat then surronded the dragon with the copies and started spinning and flying towards them.

"Dragonite! Twister!" Clair ordered. Dragonite then formed a twister around itself quickly pulling in all of the bats and throwing them to the ground.

"No! Crobat! In that case go! Forretress!" Brock ordered. A shell with a cut out in its center came out. It had a grayish shell. In the cut out part it had a maroon red color with two eyes. "Rapidspin." The creature then pulled into its shell and started spinning.

"This stunt again. Dragonite twister." Clair said casually.

(Dragonite do you even know what you’re fighting for?) Lance thought.

(For Clair.) Lance heard.

(Do you know what Clair is fighting for?) Lance thought.

(No. Should I care?) Lance heard.

(She wishes to catch Rayquaza and ruin the balance.) Lance thought.

(Balance? What balance? Rayquaza simply looks over the Regis.) Lance heard.

(Your wrong. Rayquaza watches over the legendaries of ground and water to keep them from destroying the world.) Lance thought.

(What!? I never knew that.) Lance heard. Lance watched as the dragonite landed on the ground avoiding the rapid spin.

"What are you doing?" Clair asked.

I won't help you catch Rayquaza. Dragonite replied.

"Why not!?" Clair yelled.

He watches over the legendaries of ground and water. Dragonite replied.

"What is your point!?" Clair asked.

"If we catch him the world could be destroyed." Dragonite replied.

"Who told you this?" Clair asked.

"The dragon master." Dragonite replied.

"When did he tell you this?" Clair asked.

"Just now." Dragonite replied.

"He's lying." Clair said angrily.

"No he's not." Dragonite replied.

"How do you know?" She asked.

"How can I take the risk?" Dragonite replied as he returned to the pokeball.

"Worthless dragon." Clair mumbled.

"Seems your dragon's even know that catching Rayquaza is wrong don't they." Lance said.

"You," Clair said with anger," are the one behind this." Clair then charged at Lance. Dragonair then shot between them. Dragonair's eyes glowing blue. Making Clair stop.

(If she even tries to attack you. I will finish her. Dragon trainer or not. No one is going to harm you as long as I can stop them.) Dragonair thought.

(Thank you Dragonair.) Lance thought. "I wouldn't try to attack me if I were you Clair."

"What are you going to hide behind your dragons? I forgot you as the dragon master can make any dragon do anything you want. I bet your forcing it to defend you. I bet you couldn't defend yourself without your dragons." Clair threatened.

"Do you think that I'll honestly tell Dragonair to stop? She's doing this of her own will. I couldn't stop her even with my abilities." Lance said.

"Your forcing her aren't you!" Clair yelled.

(If she says one more thing. I'll blast her with an ice beam so cold she won't know what hit her.) Dragonair thought angrily.

(Calm down Dragonair.) Lance thought. "Clair, you might want to stop your threats. Dragonair is getting angry. You really shoul..."

"What, stop. You’re making her angry by controlling her to be angry!" Clair yelled. Dragonair then fired an ice beam the shot Clair into the sky.

(I warned her.) Lance thought.

(Yay, she's gone.) Dragonair thought as she spun around in the air doing flips. Lance then turned towards Laurel.

"All right, Laurel I don't ever want to hear of you going around Rayquaza again. Understand." Lance said calmly. Laurel didn't reply after watching what happened to Clair. "Let her go." The five remaining dragons surrounding her flew to their master's side. Laurel looked around and took off down the mountain.

"YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE LAST OF ME!" She yelled.

"Wow Lance you beat her and Clair. How did you get your pokemon out of the cave? I thought they could only come back if Rayquaza brought them out." Ash said.

"I'd forgotten my training. She helped me remember it." Lance said simply.

"Hey Ash. Don't we need to get going to the Silver Conference." Brock said.

"Yeah. Your right." Ash said sadly. "You want to come with us Lance?" Ash asked hopefully.

"I can't at the moment Ash. I'll see you later though." Lance said.

"All right. See ya." Ash said.

"Ash." Lance said.

"Yeah." Ash replied as he looked back.

"If you go down this route then it will be quicker." Lance advised.

"Thanks." Ash said as he ran down the mountain and looked into his jacket and took out the sleeping Pikachu. "I need to get her checked on. See ya!" Ash said ran off waving his arm.

"Thanks Lance." Brock said as he chased after Ash. Lance and the rest of the dragons waved good bye as Ash and Brock ran off.

"Good luck in the future Ash." Lance whispered when they were out of sight. Lance then returned her pokemon after thanking them mentally, and then turned to go down another route unaware of a presence that was watching.

"Good job dragon master. You and your friends have saved the day. You can rest easy for now, but evil will once again rise, will you be able to tackle it.

Well that's the end of it. Oh and I do own Laurel Volcanos. I didn't put it in the disclaimer so I am now. Well Gotta Catch Ya Later.
