Before you read this you should read Slave Dragon, Challenge of Whirl Islands, and Slave of the Dragon, in that order. If you have read them then continue on. If you have not read them then please read them first for this to make more sense.

        Battle of Wishes

Lance appeared on a round, purple platform with a black circle in the center with rings of alternating purple and black expanding from it. (This is not where I intended to teleport to.) Lance thought.

(This is where I brought you.) Lance heard. He turned around to see someone with an overcoat over him to completely cover him. He also had a hat on his head to cover his face.

"Who are you?" Lance asked.

(I'm the one who tests dragon masters and whoever succeeds gets one wish granted.) He thought.

"I don't have any wishes." Lance replied.

(You have one. You've hidden your secret from everyone, everyone except me. I know your secret. You wish to live as your true self-everyday, but you don't want to hurt your pokemon. If you win I'll let you live freely and change Dragonair into a Dratini and change Salamence into a Bagon so that they could live with you. I would reduce your age to an age where it would seem right for you to travel with him.) He thought.

"What about the rest of my pokemon?" Lance asked.

(They would have to watch you from here.) He thought. Lance then released all the pokemon.

"What do you think?" Lance asked.

(For your happiness. I'll do anything.) Dragonite said.

(I agree.) Charazard said.

(After this we may never see each other again, but if you can be happy then I'll do it.) Gyaradoes added.

(Let us begin.) Aerodactle added.

(I wouldn't mind being a Bagon again.) Salamence said.

(And I'll put up with being a Dratini.) Dragonair finished. Lance's head lowered.

"Thank you." Lance mumbled.

(The only way to get your wish is to beat me.) He thought.

"All right. I accept your challenge." Lance agreed.

(Start if off.) He thought.

"Alright." Lance agreed. (Go Charazard.)

(Go. Charazard.) He thought.

(Use dragon rage.) Lance thought. Lance's Charazard then fired the fireball knocking the opponent's back.

(Use Seismic Toss.) He thought. His Charazard grabbed Lance's and flew into the air.

(Fire spin.) Lance said. Lance's Charazard then started making a ring of fire burning both of them as they were into the air. (Don't let go.) Both Charazards slammed into the ground with only one getting up. It was Lance's. (Thank you Charazard.)

(Choose your next one.) He said as he returned his Charazard.

(Go Gyaradoes.) Lance thought.

(Go Gyaradoes.) He thought.

(Thunderbolt.) Lance thought.

(Thunder.) He thought. Red {Lance’s} then sent forth bolts of lightning shocking Blue. Blue then fired thunder knocking out Red.

(No, Gyaradoes what happened?) Lance thought.

(I wasn't strong enough. I'm sorry.) Gyaradoes thought.

(Don't worry about it. Go Aerodactle.) Lance thought.

(Go Aerodactle. Use ancient power.) He thought. Lance's Aerodactle was then slammed into the wall by a wave of rocks.

(Aerodactle use hyper beam.)Lance thought. Lance's then fired a beam knocking back the opponent.

(Finish it with an ancient power.) He thought. He then fired a wave of rocks knocking him out.

(Return Aerodactle. You did your best. Go Salamence.) Lance thought.

(Go Salamence.) He thought.

(Lets see who has the harder head. Fly directly into his head.) Lance thought. Lance's then flew into the air and flew directly at the opposing Salamence's head making a direct hit knocking it out and knocking Lance's off balance. (Thank you.) Lance thought as Salamence was returned. (Go Dragonite.)

(Go Dragonite. Blizzard.) He thought. As soon as both dragons were on the field there was a harsh blizzard that knocked out Lance's.

(Great, go Dragonair. Fire a blizzard as soon as he sends out his.)

(Go Dragonair.) He thought. As soon as his was on the field it was frozen by a blizzard. (Then it is tied. We go to the final challenge. Dragon master put your abilities to the test as you battle me.)

(I accept.) Lance thought. The overcoat was then thrown off to reveal Mewtwo. (I could regret that choice.) Lance thought as Mewtwo floated into the air. Mewtwo then formed a purple ball in his hands. Mewtwo threw the ball, which flew in a waving motion. Lance jumped to the side. (Does he like cold?) Lance thought as the temperature started dropping. Mewtwo charged up another shadow ball.

(Not this time.) Mewtwo threw the ball towards Lance. (Protect.) A ring of stars came around Lance and blocked the shadow ball.

(Cold.) Lance thought as the temperature continued to drop. Mewtwo then flew directly towards Lance with a purple flame on both of his hands. When Mewtwo was in range he started trying to punch Lance with his flames. Lance seemed to dance between the fists. (I'm glad I know the Dragon Dance. Dragon Rage.) Lance then formed a fireball and threw it directly in Mewtwo's face knocking him into the air. Mewtwo regained his balance in the air and waited only a second to charge up a shadow ball and throw a few rounds of them. Lance again danced between the blasts. Mewtwo then held out his hands sending out waves of purple energy slamming into Lance before he could avoid it. "Arrrrrg!" Lance roared as the hit was taken. Lance looked up a Mewtwo. (Cold.) The temperature then dropped again to an even lower level than it was already.

(The weather does not affect me.) Mewtwo thought.

(Maybe not, but try this. Fire.) Lance thought as the temperature quickly rose from below freezing to boiling hot. Making the arena very hazy. Lance then charged another dragon's rage and threw it at Mewtwo knocking him back even more.

(Ha.... ha...ha. Lance you cannot defeat me unless you use all the skills you have acquired.) Mewtwo thought.

(I am using all my acquired skills.) Lance thought as the dragon master threw another dragon rage this time though Mewtwo avoided. Mewtwo then fired a fire blast from his hands burning Lance's armor as well as increasing the heat. (I have to come up with a strategy. If my armor takes another hit from a fire blast it will be destroyed. Of course! The temperature affects it. If I could get it on Mewtwo then get it to melt.) Lance thought. (For now Normal.) Lance thought as the temperature returned to normal. (Blizzard.)Lance thought as a blizzard struck Mewtwo from all sides. (Now! Freeze.) Lance thought. The blizzard the formed a solid block of ice around Mewtwo. Lance then rushed over to Mewtwo and threw the dragon master's armor on Mewtwo right as Mewtwo broke out of the ice.

(Thanks for the armor. I'll wear it as I finish you.) Mewtwo thought.

(We'll see about that.) Lance thought. (Blazing.) Lance thought as the temperature more than doubled what had been when Lance first raised the temperature. Lance then threw a dragon's rage fireball and melted the armor on Mewtwo.

(Aaaaarrrgg.) Mewtwo thought in pain as the armor melted on his skin. (If only Jirachi didn't forbid me from using recover.) Mewtwo fell to the ground and struggled to regain his footing.

(I'll cool you down. Blizzard.) Lance thought as a blizzard slammed into Mewtwo now causing severe damage. (Freeze. Cold.) The blizzard then formed another ice cube around Mewtwo and the temperature started dropping again. (Rain.) Lance thought making it rain freezing as soon as it hit the ground or ice cube. Making it harder by the second for Mewtwo to escape. The ice cube then shattered as Mewtwo fired a psychic attack destroying it from the inside out.

(I'll make you pay!) Mewtwo thought. He then fired thunder knocking the dragon master to the ground.

( I can't lose this!) Lance thought and then fired a dragon's rage at Mewtwo. Lance then got up and fired another dragon's rage both blast-hit Mewtwo knocking him to the ground. Lance then fired an ice beam freezing Mewtwo's hands and feet to the ground. Mewtwo lifted his head and looked at the dragon master. (I'll finish this now.) Lance thought. Lance then ran towards Mewtwo. Lance's right hand was burning with a red flame. Mewtwo's eyes started to glow purple. When Lance reached Mewtwo Lance slammed his hand into Mewtwo's face breaking the ice and knocked him to the edge of the platform now knocked out. (I won.) Mewtwo then stood up recovered. (Or not.) Lance thought. The temperature then returned to normal.

(It is over. You have won.) Mewtwo thought. (I will grant my wish now!) Mewtwo thought. Lance was knocked out by a psychic wave. When Lance's eyes opened Lance saw what seemed to be a hospital room.

"Where am I?" Lance asked.

"She's awake Nurse Joy!" Someone beside Lance yelled. Lance turned to see Ash.

"Ash." Lance mumbled.

"How do you know my name?" Ash asked. Lance then looked forward to see a mirror. Lance's spiked red hair was now lying all around her. She had on black shirt with golden dragons on it with a pair of blue jeans.

(So Mewtwo released me from the curse he originally set upon me.) Lance thought.

"How do you know my name?" Ash asked again.

"I remembered it from the Silver Conference." Lance replied.

"Oh. What's your name?" Ash asked.

"La..Luna." Lance quickly said.

"Nice to meet you Luna." Ash said. Nurse Joy then came in the room.

"Hello your pokemon are fine. Do you want me to bring them to you?" Nurse Joy asked.

"Yes, please." Lance thought as she wondered what happened to her pokemon. Nurse Joy came back in a few minutes with two pokeballs. Lance knew she now only had a Dratini and Bagon and would have to start over, but she would and could.

"Are you going to be okay?" Ash asked.

"Yeah." Lance replied. "Where are you heading off to now, Ash?" Lance asked.

"Oh, Hmmm. I never got to finish my battle with Lance so until he returns I guess I'll try the Silver Conference again." Ash said.

"Silver Conference is in Johto right?" Lance said.

"Yeah." Ash replied.

"My hometown is in Johto. I'll go with you." Lance said.

"Alright, I guess." Ash replied. "Where's your hometown?" Ash asked.

"Blackthorn City." Lance replied.

"Oh. All right. Lets go!" Ash said excitedly. Lance then took her pokemon and followed Ash to the bottom floor and met up with Brock and Pikachu.

"Hey, Ash. Is she going to be okay?" Brock asked.

"Yeah, and she'll be traveling with us for awhile too." Ash said.

"Hmmm. Alright, well me and Pikachu already got the supplies so we're set to go." Brock said. Pikachu then jumped on Ash's shoulder.

"Let's go!" Ash yelled as he ran out the door with Brock and Luna following after him.

"Wait up Ash!" Brock yelled. They then started their journey to Johto.
