Read my previous stories before reading this one. That is if you want to understand it. This takes place three years after Dragon's Dance. Just so you know this is dedicated to Shadow/phantomness for reminding me to type this. I'll let you read it now.

        The Dragon War

Luna was on Gyradoes's back. They were flying at least three thousand feet in the air. Ash and Pikachu were on Ash's Charazard's back flying beside her. They were in the middle of a mid-air dragon battle. They were against a Charazard, Dragonite, and a Rayquaza. A trainer was ordering them with black hair with red streaks, and red eyes. He had on black blue jeans, and shoes. He had a black shirt with a blood red x with a dark red circle encircling it.

(Gyradoes use blizzard.) Luna thought. Gyradoes roared and released a blizzard hurting the three dragons harshly.

"Dragon's Rage!" Their trainer yelled. The three dragons then fired fireballs at Gyradoes knocking it back a bit.

(You okay Gyradoes?) Luna asked. Gyradoes nodded. (Use hydro pump.) Gyradoes then fired a blast of water hitting Charazard's tail flame, putting it out.

"Pathetic dragon. Any dragon that can be destroyed that easily isn't worth the time I spent training it. Pathetic." The trainer said annoyed. "Hyper Beam!" The two dragons then fired yellow beams towards Gyradoes. Gyradoes flew above them to avoid the beams. The beams still flew right below them, though.

(That was too close. How dare he say that about Charazard! He tried his best for him. Gyradoes blizzard.) Luna thought enraged. Gyradoes fired a blizzard hurting both of the dragons. (Gyradoes ice beam.) Gyradoes then fired a beam of ice that hit and froze Dragonite, thus making it start its terrifying fall to the ground.

"Another pathetic dragon, if he can't hold his own then he is worthless to me." The trainer said.

(How dare he say that! He could at least return Dragonite so that he doesn't have to take the pain of the fall!) Luna thought. She then felt a downward rush of wind at her side. She looked and noticed Ash was gone. (Did he become a coward? I will just have to hope he didn't abandon me during this battle. Gyradoes Hydro Pump.) Gyradoes then let out a high- powered stream of water that slammed into Rayquaza causing very little damage.

"Rayquaza use thunder!" he ordered. Rayquaza roared as he released a bright lightning bolt. It quickly struck Gyradoes knocking her out making it start to fall. Luna quickly returned her.

(I wish Bagon was evolved right now) Luna thought. A hyper beam then struck her. Luna let out a slight growl. (Go Dragonair.) She then sent out Dragonair who quickly caught her and flew back to the where the battle was going on. Luna held out her hand by the crystal on Dragonair's neck. (Dragon's rage.) Luna thought. As Dragonair started to form a fireball so did Luna they then fired a double powered dragon's rage then hit Rayquaza knocking it back a bit.

(Luna! What were you thinking?) Dragonair yelled mentally at Luna. Luna looked up mentally.

(Use your blizzard.) Luna thought. Dragonair then brought up a blizzard that slammed into Rayquaza. (Freeze.) The temperature then dropped drastically.

"What is going on!?" The trainer asked as he felt the bitter cold.

(Luna! What are you doing!?) Dragonair asked mentally.

(Doing what I can to defeat him.) Luna thought as she rested on Dragonair's neck. (Ice beam.) Dragonair then fired an icy blue beam that flew towards Rayquaza.

"Rayquaza, use hyper beam." The trainer said evily. Rayquaza fired a yellow beam that split the ice beam all around and flew towards Dragonair and Luna.

(Protect.) Luna thought as a ring of stars blocked the hyper beam. Luna then started panting.

(Luna, you’re not that strong yet. After taking an attack from one of the most powerful dragons and then start using your attacks. Luna you'll kill yourself if you keep this up!) Dragonair yelled frantically in Luna's mind.

(What choice do I have? I don't know if Ash will even help us. I can't drop everything on him anyways. Blizzard.) Luna thought. Dragonair formed a blizzard that slammed into Rayquaza that knocked him back a bit more. (What will it take to defeat him?) A yellow beam then slammed into Rayquaza knocking it down just a bit, then it was hit by a fire ball, and then slammed by large lightning bolt all from behind knocking out Rayquaza.

"I'll get you for this!" He yelled as he recalled Rayquaza and sent out another pokemon and teleported.

"Sorry for being late." Ash said as he flew towards them. A Dragonite quickly went behind him. "I went and caught the Dragonite. I wanted to get the Charazard, but..." Ash didn't finish his sentence.

"Better late than never, right." Luna said weakly.

"Yeah. What happened to you?" Ash asked.

She got hit by a thunder and then started using her abilities. Dragonair said.

"Luna! You shouldn't be so hard on yourself!" Ash yelled.

"What choice did I have? I didn't know if you’d come...back. Every other time I needed help I always got abandoned." Luna said.

"I stood by you during the battle with Missingno, right." Ash said disappointed.

"I guess I should have remembered. After traveling with you so long I should've known. Sorry." Luna said weakly.

"Don't worry about it." Ash said.

"We need to find that guy for tricking us into coming up here, and to free Rayquaza." Luna said.

"He might of caught Rayquaza normally, though." Ash said.

"I doubt it, and even if he did. He treats his other pokemon so harshly that it wouldn't matter. He'll abandon Rayquaza if it ever becomes weak." Luna pointed out as she rested her head on Dragonair's neck.

Can we continue this talk on the ground? Dragonair asked.

I agree. I'm getting tired. Charazard added.

Me three. I'm getting airsick. Pikachu said.

"Alright." Ash agreed. He then looked at Luna. "Why don't we head to Pallet Town. You haven't met my mom, yet." Ash said. The pokemon quickly agreed since they were already above the seafoam islands. They flew to Pallet landing in the center of the town. They returned their pokemon except Pikachu and Dragonair. Luna was still resting on Dragonair's back. "Let's go." Ash said quickly as they all seemed to rush to his house. Luna was already asleep by the time they got there. When Luna woke up she was laying in a bed with blue covers over her. They had pokeballs on them. She saw on the table beside the bed there was a pokeball alarm clock. She then saw a t.v. by the foot of the bed. She looked at the walls, which were all white.

(Where am I?) Luna thought. She then sat up slowly still feeling a little weak. She then started to get out of bed when she stepped on something making her fall right back on the bed. (What was that?) Luna thought alarmed. She saw Dragonair float up.

Luna! You're awake! Dragonair said happily. Dragonair then flew out of the open door on the other side of the room. Luna then got up and walked towards the door and slowly walked out of the room watching her step to make sure she didn't step on anything else. When she was out of the room she noticed a set of stairs.

(Where am I?) Luna thought again. She gripped the handle tightly and slowly walked down the steps. When she reached the bottom she saw a Mr. Mine sweeping the floor frantically. (This could be trouble.) She thought as she prepared to fight. The pokemon went right by her completely ignoring her. She saw that she was now in what seemed to be a living room. (Where did Dragonair go?) She thought. She then heard someone talking in the room beside the living room. The entrance was a wide opening with no door. She continued her progress as she slowly walked to the other room. When she reached it she turned to see Ash was talking to someone. She was a bit taller than Ash. She had bluish, black hair, and brown eyes. She was wearing a red shirt and blue pants with dirt covering her.

"You must be Luna, Ash's girlfriend." She said.

"No, mom she's not my girlfriend." Ash said annoyed.

"I'm Luna, but who are you?" Luna asked confused.

"I'm Ash's mother, Mrs. Ketchum." She said.

"Oh, okay." Luna replied.

"Luna shouldn't you be resting?" Ash asked.

"Huh, no I'm fine." Luna said. She then smiled a fake smile. Dragonair then seemed to jump out in front of Luna making her fall down. "Dragonair, what are you doing?" Luna asked.

No you're not fine. Otherwise you wouldn't of fell like that. You, usually only take a step back. Dragonair pointed out.

"How long was I out?" Luna asked.

"Only two days." Mrs. Ketchum said.

"Two days." Luna said surprised.

"I'm about to go to Oak's lab. Do you want to go Luna?" Ash asked.

"Yeah." Luna replied. Dragonair hovered right by Luna. Pikachu then jumped up on Ash's shoulder.

"Let's go." Ash said as they started their walk toward the lab. Once they reached the lab Ash looked through the window and stopped.

"What is it Ash?" Luna asked tiredly.

"Shhh." Ash said as he grabbed her hand and pulled her to the window. Luna then saw what he had gotten quiet over. The person they had been battling was now talking to Professor Oak. Ash then slowly opened the door so they could hear.

"So you couldn't complete your mission." Professor Oak said.

"Sorry, they were stronger than I thought they were." He said.

"I told you not to underestimate them, especially Ash." Oak said.

"He's the reason I lost. He snuck around and attacked my back side." He said.

"I told you. If our plans ever want to be successful then he has to die." Oak said.

"I know. I will not let it happen again. I wish the dragon master was still around so I could kill him as well." He said.

"Now Kain, if he was alive then we would also have to worry about him. Just be glad he is gone." Oak said.

"I guess." Kain agreed.

"Look at it like this. If he was alive then he would team up with Ash and kill us." Oak pointed out.

"You're right." Kain agreed. Kain then turned to leave locking eyes with Ash. "He's here!"

"Run!" Ash ordered as him, Luna, Pikachu, and Dragonair all started fleeing. They only turned around when they reached Ash's house and ran inside. Only then did they notice that they weren't being followed. Ash looked at Luna. "Are you okay?" Ash asked. Luna's face was as white as a ghost. She looked up weakly. Ash then grabbed Dragonair's pokeball and recalled her. He then grabbed Pikachu and put her on his shoulder. He then grabbed Luna's hand. He then heard his mom come into the room.

"Ash you're home. Can you help me in the garden?" His mom asked. Ash glowed yellow and in a flash him, Luna, and Pikachu were gone. When Luna awakened she was now in a hospital room. She saw Ash was asleep in the chair beside the bed and Dragonair and Pikachu were at the foot of the bed both asleep.

(Now where am I?) Luna thought as she let herself fall back asleep. When she reawakened she saw Ash watching TV. "Ash." Luna said quietly. Ash jumped as he turned to face her.

"Your awake!" Ash said excitedly as he hugged her.

"How long was I out this time?" Luna asked returning the hug.

"Three days." Ash said happily.

"Three days?" Luna asked.

"Yep." Ash said.

(I really shouldn't have wasted so much energy during that fight.) Luna thought. "Ash, did we hear right? Is Professor Oak really out to kill us?" Luna asked sadly.

"Yeah." Ash whispered. He then pulled back from the hug. They then heard the T.V. switch from what it was on it changed to a news bulletin.

"We have important news. Pallet Town was just destroyed!" The reporter yelled. "The only survivor is Professor Oak! Who is currently in a comma!" He continued to yell. " On the wall of the lab it read, Ash was here. What could this mean? Has Ash, one of the most respected trainers, become a killer?" He asked.

"What!?" Ash yelled. "I was here with Luna!"

"They have to be trying to frame you." Luna said. "Ash they want you to come out in the open so that they can find you. " Luna said as Ash was obviously getting angry.

"I'll show them." Ash growled dangerously.

"Ash, if you go, then you're not going alone." Luna said.

"Pikachu will be with me. Right buddy." Ash said.

Right. Pikachu nodded as she replied.

"I'm also coming with you." Luna said.

"I'll wait then." Ash said as he calmed down a bit.

"Thanks, I don't think I'm ready for another battle yet." Luna said.

We need a plan. Dragonair said as she raised her head.

"You're right." Ash agreed. "He used dragons on us last time. Dragon's are weak to ice, right."

"You're right, but we don't have any ice types." Luna said. Mewtwo then appeared in the center of the room.

(You can't beat him, yet.) Mewtwo thought to them.

"What do you mean we can't beat him?" Ash asked.

(Your pokemon are not strong enough. Go to Whirl Islands and meet Lugia.) Mewtwo thought to them. His eyes then glowed purple as Ash's and Luna's pokemon floated into the air. (That is, if you want your pokemon.) Mewtwo then let out a laugh as he teleported him and their pokemon.

"No!" The both yelled.

"We're heading to Whirl Islands." Ash said.

"I know." Luna said as she got out of bed. They both grabbed their bags and started walking out of the building. People were starring at Ash with a look of fear in their eyes.

"I hate this." Ash whispered sadly.

"It isn't right. You didn't do anything, and yet they still blame you just because your name is on it. You wouldn't do that. You abandoned our battle to save the Dragonite after his trainer was going to let him fall to his death just cause he was frozen. You wouldn't destroy a town, especially your hometown." Luna said.

"We both know that, but no one else will believe us." Ash said.

"Luna get away from that killer!" Someone yelled up ahead. They looked up to see her father.

"Father! He's innocent!" Luna yelled.

"Did he tell you that? Cause if he did then he lied to you." He yelled. Luna was then filled with rage.

"How dare you call him that! If it wasn't for him I would be dead right now! If he hadn't brought me here, and if you don't mind we're in a hurry." Luna said smartly as they walked right past him leaving him speechless. When they were a good distance away from the city they used teleport to get to the center of the Whirl Islands, where Lugia was. They saw their pokemon on the walls as carvings.

"What have you done!?" They both yelled.

This isn't much compared to what will happen if Kain isn't stopped. Lugia said.

"What have they done to deserve to be put in stone?" Luna asked as she looked at the pokemon that were their best friends.

They are not strong enough to beat Kain. They will only cause trouble for you. Lugia said.

"They'll only cause trouble. They stood up to him last time and won." Ash said.

Only a few of them could survive the battle. At least this way they'll not be killed during the fighting. Lugia said.

"Lugia release them!" Luna yelled.

If I do then they'll only get in the way. Lugia said.

"Lugia you owe me this much for helping you a while back." Luna said. Lugia simply sighed.

I'll tell you how to release them. You have to beat the destroyer of the world, also known as the betrayer of the leader, Lugia said, or show a strength stronger than friendship.

"What does that mean?" Ash asked.

"Are you just making this up Lugia?" Luna asked. Lugia shook his head.

"This is wierd." Ash said.

"I know." Luna said.

"We have to beat Kain, or," Ash said.

", show a strength stronger than friendship to release our best friends." Luna finished. (What could it mean? What is stronger than friendship?)Luna thought. (Could it mean.... Love? Well it is deeper than friendship, but how could we show it? I'm guessing it would also have to be true. Great, This could take Ash forever to figure out, and I don't have the nerve to tell him how I feel, so our friends could be stuck there awhile.) Luna thought.

"Hey, Luna." Ash said sounding a bit nervous.

(Did he figure it out?) Luna thought hopefully. "Yes, Ash." Luna replied excitedly.

"I think I know the answer to the riddle." Ash said.

"What do you think it is, Ash?" Luna asked getting more excited.

"Ketchup." Ash replied calmly. Luna fell on the ground and stared up toward Ash. She slowly got up.

"Why would you think Ketchup is it?" Luna asked.

"Well, because it's Pikachu's favorite food." Ash said.

"That wasn't the answer I thought of." Luna replied.

"Really, what was your answer?" Ash asked.

"Ummm uh," Luna mumbled as her face turned red.”, love." She whispered. Ash's face turned red.

"I guess that is stronger than friendship." Ash replied nervously.

(I don't think he'll ever say if he hates me or loves me so I might as well find out now.) Luna thought. "Ash," Luna said gathering her nerve.

"Yeah." Ash replied nervously.

"I...I think we need to beat Kain." Luna said losing her nerve.

"You're right. Let's go." Ash said. They teleported out of cave and were greeted by the legendary bird trio.

Ash we will assist you in the fight against him. Zapdoes said.

Allow us to help you. Articuno said.

We will do our best to destroy him. Moltres added. Three pokeballs appeared in front of each. They were the corresponding color to the bird that was then captured in them. They all flew around Ash until he grabbed them.

"I say we head to," Ash said as he closed his eyes. ", Blackthorn." They then teleported to Blackthorn City only to meet Kain at the entrance.

"Ahh, so this is where you ran away to, eh." Kain said. "I'll have to remember this for the next time."

"There will be no next time!" Ash yelled as he fired a lightning bolt from his hand striking Kain.

"What! How did you do that?" Kain yelled.

"Easy, like this." Ash said as he did it again.

(I'll make him pay!) Luna thought as she remembered everything he had made them go through. She then threw a fireball at him knocking him back.

"What is going on?" He asked. Ash then fired a lightning bolt that knocked away Kain's pokeballs. While no one was watching Luna started performing the Dragon's Dance. She quickly started to speed up and could feel power flowing through her. She then formed a dragon's rage and threw it as strong as she could. It burned Kain to a crisp. They watched as his ashes fell on the four remaining pokeballs. They then started to glow. After a bright flash a long black dragon appeared. He had four black wings, two came out at the mid section, and two near the tail. He also had nine red eyes.

"No not him." Luna whispered quietly. Ash fired thunderbolt that hit the dragon, but caused little damage.

"You can't defeat him like that! Use the combination attack! Dragon Storm!" Someone yelled from behind them.

"How?" They asked as they kept the eyes locked on the dragon.

"Let it take over once it starts don't worry about anything. Oh wait, you mean how to start it don't you. Sorry I forgot about that. Oh yes, now let me see you have to do, oh yes. You have to take each other's hand and focus on Dragon Storm." He said. "Oh and one more thing. This can only be done if you two care for each other. Continue on."

"Let's do it." Ash said.

"What do we have to lose?" Luna said as well. They grabbed each other's hands and started to focus on Dragon Storm. A red and yellow tornado appeared and encircled the dragon. They could see lightning bolts and fireballs flying through the tornado. They could feel it trying to tear them apart, but they stood their ground knowing that if they were let it tear them apart then the dragon would break free. After what seemed like hours the storm fell and nothing remained of the dragon. Ash and Luna looked at each other happily.

"We won." Ash said.

"Yeah." Luna agreed. "Let's go. We need to release our friends." Luna said.

"Your right." Ash said as they teleported to Whirl Islands. Once where their friends were they saw they were still encased in stone. "I thought you said that if we saved the world then they would be free." Ash said.

That wasn't all I said. Lugia said. Luna looked at Ash.

(This is cruel. We save the worl and our friends still aren't free. Why is Lugia doiiiinng...) Luna thought as she was cut off by Ash kissing her. (Is he doing what I think he's doing?) Luna thought. She then returned the kiss closing her eyes. When she opened them she saw that their pokemon were all staring at them. "Oh great, are you guys going to blackmail us now?" Luna said as she stepped away. The pokemon nodded.

"Sorry, Luna." Ash said sadly.

"For what?" Luna asked.

"For giving them something to blackmail us with." Ash replied.

(Is he crazy?) Luna thought. She then kissed Ash. "There now we both gave them something to blackmail us about." Luna said with a smile.

"Yep." Ash replied happily. "I hear the Dragon's Ball is coming up soon. Do you want to go?" Ash asked.

"Yeah." Luna replied relieved and tired after everything that had happened. They then recalled all of their pokemon except Pikachu and Dragonair and teleported to Blackthorn for a well-earned vacation.

There I'm done. I think I've been reading too many of shadow/phantomness's fics, but oh well. Thanks Shadow/phantomness for asking me when I was going to update otherwise I would never of typed it. So thanks again. This did not go as I originally intended, but hey who cares? It's up now. Oh and another thing, if you think that I made Ash and Luna fall in love too quickly I only have one thing to say. Read the time split in between each story. I don't know when will be the next time I update (if ever) so I thought I would be nice and put up the data for the pokemon I created. The only thing is I changed him from his original type.
