Dahisar-the northern end point in the western suburb ,was a semi rural area and lacked educational facilities . With a view to cope up with the enormous increase in the student population,125 common citizens founded Shailendra Education Society in 1976 . Beginning with fifty three students in K.G., the SES has developed an educational complex, presently accommodating 5000 students in a built up area 0f 50000 sq.ft. basically designed to house Pre-primary , Primary, Secondary Schools in three media viz. Marathi , English, Gujarati. To meet the demands of higher education in the vicinity to avoid travel risks and respecting the increasing demands of parents , SES had to embark upon opening of a Junior College in Arts , Science, Commerce Faculty and a later a Degree College in Arts, Commerce Faculty .Presently stationed in School Building. Under the guidance of 150 strong teaching team, the institute have excelled in all walks of educational life, sports and other co-curricular activities.
OUR GOAL
As an immediate task, SES propose to house the existing Junior College and Degree College also to start new courses in the field of Management, Computer Science, Electronics etc. which are now to National Development. This will also result in increase in facilities for the Primary, Secondary Students. SES also plan to cater to the need of working students, citizens by opening a center of an Open University SES also wish to have an independent building for their college.The cost of the basic infrastructure development like College Building, Play Ground etc. is estimated to be around Rs. 3.25Crores. Development will be in a phased manner.
