Shaji's HomePage
Hiya, Iam Shaji. Welcome to my home in cyberspace. I am a software engineer working in the United States Of America. The hours I spent on my own homepage is worth my time.. I hope you enjoy my page as I did making it. I hail from a city called Bangalore, India. Never heard of it ?? Don't worry, some of the people who live there haven't heard either. Just kidding..It's a cool place to live and is often called the Silicon Valley of India. My parents hail from Trissur, Kodungalloor, Kerala.I consider  myself a lucky person  having got  married to  Mini from Kerala. We have an adorable son Aditya.  They are my love and life.
Iam the proud (sarcasm) owner of BE in Electronics Engineering from Bangalore University. Why would I choose to do Electronics, you ask ? Don't you know that Electronics is tough to get through the tough ?? I have often been adrift, but I have always stayed afloat.Fortunately for me, I had already managed to latch on the university tricks in passing through the exams, so I didn't have to rely on failures.
Sooo... after 4 years experience in software arena, I landed up in the US as a "Skilled Software Engineer". Now,this is the field which produces the scum of the earth : "Big Thinkers".Iam serious !!!! Sorta....which makes you wonder why I'm in this field. I was wasting too much time playing around with computers as a hobby, I needed some excuse to justify it. And lo !!!... Iam in the US. Did you know that  if you throw yourself against hard work,  that there is every possibility that you'll just pass through life ??? I had worked hard as a software engineer and had grown accustomed to pretending I knew what I was doing, so I figured this would make a career of it. Thus here Iam at US, spending more time playing around with computers. And you know what ? Thatz just right for me. Little did I know that I was to the land of cold and frustration.Oh boy... but I get to stand for my living....
About me
My Hobbies & Interests
All I remember of my childhood is the urge to better myself in all ways. Since the age of 12,  I've cycled through a strange series of careers : At 12, I wanted to be a singer (following up SPB's track), when I was 15 , a painter, 16, an author, 17, an actor and when I was 18, a scientist. Since my career 'ideas' changed so much , I realised that there must be a good thing to my only constant in life; the fact that I loved engineering. So, I added my already confused parents further when I told them I wanted to be an engineer. To my surprise, these strange series of careers have turned myself into a good artist, cartoonist, sculptor, singer, author, lyricist, music composer etc..
I was an active member in school and college events like drama, singing, painting, lecturing and even sports. But I turned myself into an engineer. But now I wanted to pursue my career as an actor.. My parents stood very much reluctant to that and ensured me that I had a promising future as an engineer. So, I embarked my crusade to discover whether engineering was  worth the thing for me and my parents proved right. But I'm still attached to my singing and writing. I have written several articles for Deccan Herald ( An english daily in Karnataka). I have a collection of 15 lyrics wriiten in Kannada with music composition. My passion for singing is still thriving in me , and my favorite singer is SPB (Indian Singer). In the long run, I would like to bring out an album of my own, of those 15 lyrics which I composed. The voice and music would be rendered by me.

Hobbies in the US :
: Besides sleeping and working, there's little time for anything else. However, one does need to eat well. In my free time , I usually hang in watching TV or read novel or write an article or record my voice - to see if it is really worth it for my album...Maintaining a website for my community is another pass time and satisfaction..
