Probably two of the most popular themes of William Shakespeare's Hamlet are murder and insanity. King Hamlet is killed by his brother Claudius, and Hamlet, out of rage and insanity kills Polonius thinking it's the king. Unfortunately in are time some families share that same fate. In Livonia, Michigan a mother killed her husband, three children, and mother in law. Previous to the murder the mother had divorced her husband but remained in close contact. She continued to live in the house until she moved out last fall. Out of the chain of events like the divorce and her moving out she slowly grew mad. Just as Hamlet did when he found out Claudius killed his father and two months after his fathers death Hamlet's mother married Claudius. In both instances these are the stepping stones to murder and insanity. Then out of sadness and loneliness the mother went insane over time just like Hamlet. In both of these instances both people lost there world and as a result resorted to murder.
