from over the horizon, a platelet in a vein, you come barreling downwards, there are words escaping you as you make your way, but I cannot hear them, you appear to be smiling, so all must be well, but I cannot be sure from this distance, so I grow somewhat anxious, and then your words suddenly ring out, "------", you cry, and I respond in kind, this is my life now, with you, inseparable from you, indefinable without you, these trees and this grass, just as much a part of the earth as you are a part of my soil, your roots penetrating my very essence, I wished for this, and now it is arrived, and I used to ask "Who are you?" and you would laugh, and I used to ask "Who sent you?" and you would laugh, and I would sing with the radio "Who do you love?" and we would dance, in a field where the truth is green, and I never could have imagined a day so yellow-bright, a sky so cornflower-blue, arms so like vines, as they cling to my foundation, I know you won't let go, but you should know that I won't let go first.........
