I had just assumed he was an Ogre. I mean, I've always felt Ogres and Crabs should be friends. They have so much in common. Remember that story? Where the king of the Ogres offers Kuon a truce and a partnership? I was all like "Dude, awsome, I am so there!" but then Kuon pushed him off the wall. V. upsetting.
