–PUBLICATIONS
—News 4U is an Evansville, Indiana-based free magazine, published Evansville, IN, Louisville, KY, Lexington, KY, and western Kentucky. The Wild Side is N4U’s “controversial” and, as the title indicates, “wild” version (stripper interviews!), published under the order to “rip-off Maxim” (as according to my editor). I began writing in August 1999, and currently freelance reviews and features, on top of the monthly column “HIPSHOT: All Things Considered Underground” (a local all-ages music column for which I did not create the title).
LEO: Louisville Eccentric Observer. I just started here. Hopefully they don’t hate me.
The Centralian is the school paper of Evansville Central High School. The initial advisor was Demming Greene, an odd but integrity-filled man—until he moved on to the much more fulfilling venture of selling soft-water dispensers. Now it is run by Scot “Cue-ball” Martin in a dictatorship-like, please-don’t-fire-me-I’ll-write-the-articles-for-the-kids manor. (In case my powers of subtlety are working too well, I’ll just explain it: we kinda had…a tiff, you might call it. See “Front Office Censorship Continues” and/or “What I’ve Learned in Journalism in ’99-’00 or: How I Learned to Become a Soulless Minion Placating to a Set of Complacent Masses.”)
Aint It Cool News…I don’t know whether I should be proud of this or not (personally, I am. Name a site that has done more to tear at the traditional methods of film marketing).
FilmThreat.com, Chris Gore’s site, has been mildly controversial. But I always liked it.
The Shield is the university paper for the University of Southern Indiana. I wrote one review as a “contributing writer,” but am doubting that I’ll contribute any more pieces.
—Eville Music Webpage is a local resource page created and run by myself, until it fizzled in mid- to late-2000.
—EvansvilleScene.com is the page that took over in its place, run by Jeremy Ferguson.

Take into effect the maxim that time makes better, and practice makes perfect (i.e. old = bad, new = better/good.
