Hi! This the FAQ for my website. Granted, it's mostly Frequently Asked Questions from my friends and relatives, as well as some I've gotten when I ran my last website (which shall remain nameless, don't ask) but I tried to anticipate any other ones anyone may have, and I'll add to it as necessary. Enjoy! | ||||||||||||||

Q- So who are you, anyway? A- Weeeellllll... my name is Shannon. I'm a lifelong bibliophile. (That's someone who really loves books for thos who think I'm admitting to something dirty.) I also love weird trivia of all sorts, so when I got a job with a book finding company about two years ago, I figured it would be a natural pairing of my two favorite things to start researching 'phantom books.' I don't really like giving out too much personal information. For those who feel the need to know the whole A/S/L thing... nope, I don't speak American Sign Language. (Feel free to use that, AOLers, in the inane chat rooms) However, I also have a couple of other hobbies... I'm pretty good at origami, I'm a lousy but avid juggler, I enjoy sewing and sketching and about once a week I strap on some leather and go riding a big loud Harley with a friend of mine. (In case you thought my life was all quiet fun.) Q- Ummm... is that really you up there? A- Yep. Granted, in real life I'm not actually rendered in pixelated black and white in Photoshop. Nor do I really dwell in a webpage made by Geocities Page Maker. Q- Hey! You've offended me by saying something having to do with religious manuscripts or a book's existence! I really believe in that! A- Hey, great! Good for you! I still think there's a case to made for supernatural beings myself. There's lots of things that fly in the face of established facts that people believe in, and far be it from me to debate the mysteries of faith. However, as far as a book's publication is concerned, or who confessed to being part of a hoax, well, that's mostly a matter of record. And last time I checked, I have the right of free speech when it somes to my own personal opinions about something. That's why I started my own web page. Q- How do I find copies of some of the books you talk about that do exist? A- You can take a three-pronged approach- Online, Amazon, in physical stores, Borders, and for anything those two can't get you, try this great little company called Harvest Book Company. (They specialize in out of Print Books!) Q- Are you single? (NEW INFO, hehe, well, I'm excited.) A- Hey, I said this would be a Frequently Asked Questions page. As questions go, that one's pretty goofy. But since you're curious, I am recently and incredibly happily married! Hip hip hooray! Q- C'mon, please tell me your other web page? A- No. Q- How do you find all this information out? A- I've elevated searching on Yahoo! to an art form at this point. I also check out Ask Jeeves, and occasionally consult a friends or colleges of mine who work in the publishing, Hollywood, and other industries that would help. Have fun! |
