Hi! I'm here to answer all your questions about those oddball books you can't find. Looking for a title, but not sure if it exists? Wanting to know who the real author is on a book you're pretty sure was written under a nom de plume? Where the heck is that Stephen King story your favorite movie is based on? Ask away!
Today's question:
Hitler's Secret Forgeries- I mean, Diaries
Nope. As far as I know, none of Hitler's personal papers have been published in a comphrehensive form. If asked to maker a judgement call, I'm going to have to go with evil, if not psychotic. However, I'm not a shrink, so I'll stick to the book info- The one you read was written by Konrad Kujau, who sold them for over two million dollars to Stern, a German magazine. (Try not to giggle at that title, please. I know many German who are quite light-hearted. I digress.) They were serialized in a few media outlets.

Anyway, they later proved to be forgeries, but were still
printed in novel form as a curiosity. You can find out more about uncovering the forgery here, the whole section in literary crimes makes for fascinating reading.
I read a book that was Hitler's diary, but some things didn't quite jibe. It said that Hitler wanted to relocate the Jews, not kill them. Was it the real thing? Was Hitler actually not the evil guy he's supposed to be?
