Hi! I'm here to answer all your questions about those oddball books you can't find. Looking for a title, but not sure if it exists? Wanting to know who the real author is on a book you're pretty sure was written under a nom de plume? Where the heck is that Stephen King story your favorite movie is based on? Ask away!
Today's question:
Quack books
Well, because Adelle's work was more full of holes than your average crocheted wall hanging. You don't have to believe me, though, check out this excellent essay at Quackwatch.

The second book you're thinking of is probably Hulda Clark's, "The Cure for All Cancers." Now, the government doesn't really ban any books, but there's a bunch of reasons this particular one isn't around. There's a whole bunch on her at
Quackwatch, too.  Here is her main theory, though, let it never be said I won't give someone equal time.

Incidentally, Quackwatch is a great resource altogether for health stuff. I always check them when a customer asks why a diet/health book went out of print.
Why did they take Adelle Davis's work out of print? I thought it was such good information.

I also heard there was a medical book that actually had the cure for cancer. Supposedly it was banned in the US. What was it?
