Andrew Cherry was born in 1762 the son of a printer and book publsher in Limerick. At first he was apprenticed to his father, but at the age of seventeen joined the stage. He evolved into a comic actor, and played in London and Dublin. He wrote ten theatrical pieces, and ended life aas manager of two theatres in England. He died of the dropsy in 1812. | |||||||||||||
