Shaping the Future of Girls
We support the mission of the Girl Scouts of the USA , which is to inspire girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism and service, that they may become happy and resourceful citizens.
About us:
We are a multinational community with many unusual opportunities you won't find in other Girl Scout councils.;If you're already a Girl Scout, you know that Girl Scouts is where girls grow strong. Part of growing strong at SHAPE, Belgium is learning about other cultures and getting to know people from other countries. We always have some international Girl Scouts in our troops, and we like to take part in international events here at SHAPE, as well as throughout the area of Mons, Belgium. We also like to travel, and try to take at least one neighborhood trip each year.
Our program is available to all girls in kindergarten through high school:
Daisies- Kindergarten
Brownie s - first through third grade
Juniors - fourth through sixth grade
Cadettes - seventh through ninth grade
Seniors - tenth through twelfth grade
If you have questions about the Girl Scout program in general, we encourage you to check out the 4 Leaders page in this website.

How Do I  Get Involved?
We would love to have you join us - girls and adults alike. It's a great way to meet people, and to get you out of the hotel if you're new to Belgium. The best way for girls to sign up is at our annual registration during Funfest in August, but we also accept registrations throughout the year on an individual basis. Even if our program is already in full swing, it's never too late to get involved! We always want more girls, and we always need more volunteers. Please contact us at shapegsa@yahoo.com.
Adults:Please volunteer! The only way the Girl Scout movement survives is with active adult volunteers. Many times they are parents of girls who want to be Girl Scouts, but you would be surprised at how many people do it just because they believe in the program! Maybe they were Girl Scouts growing up, or they have friends who are involved, but they all want to help girls to become happy and resourceful citizens.
As an adult volunteer, you have choices:
The amount of time you have
Working with children or adults
Skills, interests and abilities you wish to use
Challenges and goals you have for yourself
Positions we have at SHAPE (training is available for all positions)
Troop Leader/Assistant Leader (working directly with girls)
Troop Committee Chairperson
Program Coordinator, Webmaster, Recruiter, Publicity, treasurer, Patch Coordinator Secretary and a host of other very important positions
Troop leaders can also inform you of other opportunities within each troop. Please ask!Whether you want to work with girls or adults, consider the Girl Scouts. It's never too early or too late to volunteer!
