In a sleazy club called Squeezebox which resulted in Barry producing a new version of her legendary underground hit 'If u dont Wanna F**k me baby'. Barry had the sound Marc loved, and the result was the second single on Academy St 'Planet Earth', released on 4 Oct 1999, a full on trance anthem cover of Marcs favourite band Duran Duran's classic 80's hit. Once again a big dance floor filler. Original Duran member Nick Rhodes commented on hearing the track "I love it..and if hes better looking than Simon, hes got the job!!", flattery to Marcs ears indeed. It was around this time that Marc appeared in the huge Francois Nars book 'X-RAY', the shot being used as the main promotion tool for appearances at clubs such as Heaven, London |

Once again the track did well clubwise performing it the day before its release at Dj Dusty'O' s birthday party at the Limelight,London. Both 'Planet Earth' and 'You Think Your'e a Man' were released on many compilations in different mixes. So as we rush through the bands history, missing out great chunks of pop trivia, we arrive at the here and now..the future. 2001 saw the release of the single 'Master and Servant', coming out initially on two dance compilations 'Gayfest 2001' and 'Foam Party', produced by Ross Alexander and Sandy Burnett at Boyz with Toyz productions, this looks like being another floor filler. Massive Ego are also currently on tour with those 80's hairum scareum possee 'Sigue sigue Sputnik', providing the perfect support slot, and possibly being scarier than the Sputniks themselves! And the current line-up sees Marc backed bykeyboardists Steady (famous for his work with Sexton Ming) and Dean Bright (one time 'Dead or Alive' member and fashion designer to the likes of 'Erasure' and 'Boy George'). |
