Stephen Jones COVENT GARDEN  SHOP

At last, Stephen Jones has his very own enchanted hat shop in Convent Garden. There against walls of palest Parma violet, his toques,and choches, bretons and berets are designed, mad and sold. Yet it looks like the kind of place for a lovers tryst in spice of itself.  There is something saucy about the pale violet rococo dressers, with their curlicued little feet, upon which jaunty hats are displayed.  There is something naughty aobu the ruby-red carpet, from which rise arch, moulded heads topped with flat caps in black vinyl and sou'westers in faux zebra skin.  HARPERS & QUEEN - MARCH 1996
