This tutorial is written for PSP7 and AS and assumes you have a good
working knowledge of the PSP tools.

Any resemblence to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.

I tried to write a tutorial showing how I'd done this sig but I just couldn't do it.
To do it step by step placing each and every leaf as I did took forever and the
tutorial I tried writing was soooooooo long...lol. So I decided to do it using the
psp file I've attached, so it's half done for you...lol. Ready?

Supplies Needed

Paint Shop Pro & Animation Shop
The Font I Used - Here - Fairy Scroll Display
My Supplies - Here - This includes the tubes, fill and psp file.
I have no knowledge of the origin of this tube. If it belongs to you
please let me know so I can give you full credit for it.


1. Open your fairy and flower tubes and your pattern fill on your workspace
and put them to one side for later.

2. Open my autumnfairypsp file. Click on bckg layer to make it active.
All the other layers should have the visibility turned off.

3. Click on your fairy tube. Edit > Copy.
Click on your autumn fairy canvas and Edit > Paste as new layer.
Re-name this layer Fairy.

4. Using your mover tool place the fairy over to the left hand side.
Effects > 3d Effects > Drop Shadow using these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal = 2. Opacity = 70. Blur = 6. Colour = #808080.

5. Layers > New Raster Layer and name it Text.
Set your foreground colour to #AF4E68 and your background to pattern,
locate the pattern fill, scale = 100, angle = 0. Using your text tool add your name.
I used Fairy Scroll Display, Size 48, Bold checked, Floating and Antialias checked.
Place your text in the upper right hand side, with the first letter in line with the fairy's hand.

6. Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel.
Use the Frame preset but change the smoothness to 50.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow.
Using the same settings as in Step 4. De-select.

7. Click on your flower tube and Edit > Copy.
Click on your autumn fairy canvas and Edit > Paste as new layer.
Re-name this layer accent. Using your mover tool place the
flower in the blank area below your name.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow using the same settings as before.

8. Layers > New Raster Layer and name it Hand 1.
Click on your Picture Tube tool and locate the multileaves tube, scale = 100.
Place a leaf in the fairy's hand. Repeat this step 2 more
times naming the layers Hand 2 and Hand 3.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 1psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

9. Turn off the visibility on Hand 3. Click on Leaf 1 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 2psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

10. Turn off the visibility on Leaf 1 and click on Leaf 2 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 3psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

11. Turn off the visibility on Hand 2.
Turn off the visibility on Leaf 2 and click on Leaf 3 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 4psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

12. Turn the visibility on hand 2 back on.
Turn off the visibility on Leaf 3 and click on Leaf 4 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 5psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

13. Turn off the visibility on Leaf 4 and click on Leaf 5 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 6psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

14. Turn the visibility on hand 3 back on. Turn off the visibility on
Leaf 5 and click on Leaf 6 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 7psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

15. Turn off the visibility on Leaf 6 and click on Leaf 7 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 8psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

16. Turn the visibility on hand 3 off. Turn off the visibility on Leaf 7 and
click on Leaf 8 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 9psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

17. Turn the visibility on hand 2 off. Turn off the visibility on
Leaf 8 and click on Leaf 9 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 10psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

18. Turn the visibility on hand 1 off. Turn off the visibility on
Leaf 9 and click on Leaf 10 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 11psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

19. Turn off the visibility on Leaf 10 and click on Leaf 11 to make it active.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 12psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

Now that there are no leaves left in the fairy's hand you can just
repeat step 19 for all the remaining leaf layers.
You should end up with merging on Leaf 21 and saving as 22psp.
Don't forget to end with Edit > Undo Merge Layers. Still with me?...lol.

20. Turn off the visibility on Leaf 21. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.
Save as 23psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.

21. Click on your fairy layer to make it active. Use your clone tool to
take away the fairy's top eyelashes. I know it's tricky because there's
not a lot of detail when you zoom in but we want to make her look
like she's blinking and it really does add that finishing touch.

22. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Save as 24psp.

23. Launch Animation Shop and run the wizard at default settings.
1st window - Same size as the first image frame checked.
2nd window - Transparent checked.
3rd window - Centred in the upper frame and
With the canvas colour both checked.
4th window - Yes checked. Put in 20 for the frame length.
5th window - Add images 1 to 24.
6th window - Click on finish.

24. Run your animation and save as a GIF. Finished!...PHEW!!!...lol.
