This tutorial is written for PSP7 and AS and assumes you
have a good working knowledge of the PSP tools.
Any resemblence to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed
Paint Shop Pro & Animation Shop
The Font I Used - Here - Fairytale.
The Tubes I Used - Here - I have no knowledge of the origin of the Peirrot.
If it belongs to you, please let me know so that I can give you full credit for it.
1 - Open all the tubes in PSP and put them to one side.
2 - Open a new transparent canvas 400 width x 400 height.
Floodfill your canvas with white.
3 - Click on your Peirrot tube and Edit > Copy.
4 - Click back on your image and Edit > Paste as new layer.
Move the Peirrot to the bottom right of your canvas.
5 - Layers > New Raster Layer.
Set your foreground colour to #E4B8B4 and your background colour to #F4DDE5.
Click on your text tool and then on your canvas and add your text.
I used Fairytale, size 72, Bold checked, Floating and Antialias checked.
Position your text at the top left of the canvas.
You can use my finished sig above as a guide to placement.
6 - Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel > S031B1 Preset.
Selections > Select None.
7 - Turn off the visibility of layer 1 on your layer palette.
Merge Visible Layers 2 & 3 and re-name it Base 1.
8 - Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow using these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal = 3. Opacity = 70. Blur = 6. Colour = #808080.
9 - Duplicate your Base 1 layer 11 times! Yes...11 times!...lol.
Re-name them so that you now have Layer 1 and layers Base 1 to 12.
Image > Resize by 60% Bicubic Resample > All Layers Checked.
10 - Turn off the visibility on all layers except Layer 1 and Base 1.
With Layer 1 active merge visible and save as 1psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.
Turn off the visibility on Base 1 layer and make Base 2 active.
11 - Click on Bubble 1 Tube and Edit > Copy.
Click back on your image and Edit > Paste as new selection.
Position the bubble so that it's touching the hole in the bubble wand.
Merge visible and save as 2psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.
Turn off the visibility on Base 2 layer and make Base 3 active.
12 - Click on Bubble 2 Tube and Edit > Copy.
Click back on your image and Edit > Paste as new selection.
Position the bubble so that it's touching the hole in the bubble wand.
Merge visible and save as 3psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.
Turn off the visibility on Base 3 layer and make Base 4 active.
13 - Click on Bubble 3 Tube and Edit > Copy.
Click back on your image and Edit > Paste as new selection.
Position the bubble touching the hole in the bubble wand again.
Merge visible and save as 4psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.
Turn off the visibility on Base 4 layer and make Base 5 active.
14 - Click on Bubble 4 Tube and Edit > Copy.
Click back on your image and Edit > Paste as new selection.
Once again position the bubble touching the hole in the bubble wand.
Merge visible and save as 5psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.
Turn off the visibility on Base 5 layer and make Base 6 active.
15 - Click on Bubble 5 Tube and Edit > Copy.
Click back on your image and Edit > Paste as new selection.
Position the bubble very slightly to the left of the bubble wand.
Merge visible and save as 6psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.
Edit > Undo Paste.
16 - Now that you've got just the bubble, continue doing step 15
with the other layers up to and including Base 11 Layer.
Position your bubble at slightly up and to the left each time to give the floating effect.
Your bubble on your Base 11 Layer should be positioned over your first letter.
17 - You should now be working on your Base 12 Layer.
Click on your Bubble Pop Tube and Edit > Copy.
Click back on your image and Ediit > Paste as new selection.
Position this in the exact same place as your last bubble.
Merge visible and save as 12psp. Edit > Undo Merge Layers.
18 - Open Animation Shop and run the animation wizard at default settings.
First window "same size as the first image frame" checked.
Second window "transparent" checked.
Third window "centred in the frame" and "with the canvas colour" checked.
Fourth window "Yes, repeat the animation indefinitely" checked and run each frame "25".
Fifth window Add images 1 - 12psp, click on next and then on finish.
View your animation and save as a GIF. You're finished!...YAY!!!...lol.
