This tutorial is written for PSP7 and assumes you have a good
working knowledge of the PSP tools.

Any resemblence to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.


Supplies Needed

Paint Shop Pro
My Supplies - Here - This includes the tube, the gold fill and my mask.

1. Open the tube in PSP. Shift & D to duplicate it and close the original.
Image > Re-size by 65% Bicubic Resample. All Layers - Checked.

2. Image > Canvas Size using these settings :

3. Select a light colour from your tube and set it as your
foreground colour. I used colour #EFAA9E.
Select a darker colour from your tube and set it as your
background colour. I used colour #D1918D.
Set your foreground to gradient and choose the
Foreground - Background using these settings :

4. Layers > New Raster Layer.
Layers > Arrange > Send To Bottom.
Floodfill this new layer with your gradient.

5. Layers > New Raster Layer.
Floodfill this new layer with the gold fill you minimised earlier.
Scale = 100. Angle = 0.

6. Masks > New > From Image.
Locate the mask you minimised earlier and use these settings :

7. Masks > Delete.
Click on yes to the pop-up window.
Effects > Sharpen > Sharpen.

8. Take your magic wand, tolerance and feather both at 0.
Click on your canvas outside the gold .
Selections > Modify > Expand by 3.
Click on your gradient layer to make it active.
Edit > Cut.
Selections > Select None.

9. Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel using these settings :

10. Click on your tube layer to make it active.
Effects > Illumination Effects > Lights > Warm Glow Preset.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow using these settings :

11. Click on your gold layer to make it active.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow.
Use the same settings but change the colour to #808080.

12. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.
Image > Re-size by 85% Bicubic Re-sample, All Layers Unchecked.
Using your mover tool, position slightly up the canvas.

13. Set your foreground colour to #D1918D.
Keep your background set to the gold fill pattern.
Layers > New Raster Layer.
Choose a nice script font, I used Edwardian Script.
Add your text using the following settings :

14. Selections > Select None.
Using your mover tool, position your text below your image.
Effects > Sharpen > Sharpen.

15. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow using the same
settings as before but changing the colour to #C0C0C0.

16. Click on your crop tool and then on your crop settings.
Select Opaque Area - Current Layer = Checked.
Click on Crop Image.
Layers > Merge > Merge All (Flatten) and you're done!
